Esme's POV
We settle for a Classic Italian restaurant, with and all you can eat buffet.
Mmm.
I end up going for seconds, putting slices of pizza on my plate. "Oh, it's you again." I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn around to be greeted by sea blue eyes and a cocky smirk on a familiar face. Ugh the one that nicked my sun lounge. I roll my eyes and ignore him. He's wearing a polo shirt and dress pants. Smart. I can feel his eyes on me and I can't help but smile, making my extremely visible dimples pop out. "So what's your name?" He asks not making eye contact. "Esme, yours?"
"Alex. Are you from Australia by any chance?" I nod and smile, my accent is very thick and quite noticeable. "Cool, do you like hang with koalas?" We both laugh. "Are you from England?" He nods. "Yeah, London " he seems so different from the last time we met. "I'm sorry about early." He happens to be able to read your thoughts to.
Charming.
"No it's fine, I should never have left the seat unattended in the first place. But if you don't mind I have to get back to my family now." I day pointing in their direction. "Oh, okay see you around then." He waves.
Suddenly I feel a warmth inside me like a good fuzzy warm that's tickling my insides putting a huge smile on my face. "Ooo Esme got a boyfriend!" Ethan cooes. I blush a little looking back at the blond boy who happened to be staring right back, I rapidly turn back around mom and dads faces have a knowing smile on them but they don't say anything.
After our tea we go out into the restaurants court yard for a fireworks show and to make lanterns since it's Christmas Eve. The noise of the Catherine wheel went through me and how I hated them ones that sounded like a child's cry, but the colours and patterns the made in the night sky.. Where just breathtaking. I end up having Ethan on my shoulders and pushing through the crowds to get a front seat view. "That boy is looking at you again." Ethan whispers in my ear pointing in Dans direction. "Hey what did mom teach you? It's rude to point!" I say lightly smacking his hand as he giggles his slightly evil one.
I notice him staring in my direction a few times but I don't think anything of it, besides he's to good for me and totally not my type.
We start making our lantern and we end up having a race in our minds our lantern against all if the others to see whose gets the farthest in the air. "Look! Our is going that way!" Egan shouts pointing at the handmade lantern being blown away from the rest of them. "That's because ours is special. And there's another one following, so don't worry we're not alone." I assure him and he's nuke showing one of the gaps in his teeth he lost a few days ago.
