In another life (Tanner Fox)

Part 21

Tanners POV

       I drove to her apartment as fast as I could. I got there and ran onto the elevator. I got up to her floor and remembered the number.

I remembered. I ran down the hall way and I put my hand into a balled up fist and knocked on the door.

          I waited a few seconds before someone came to the door. There she was the women that was in front of me at Starbucks earlier. But then what Corey had said earlier rang through my ears. "She's a completely different person now." In that moment I realized what he meant by that.

"Is Emily here?" I said softly. She looked like she was on the verge of tears. "It's Chloe now" she said quietly. "Can I please explain?" I said hopeful.

She looked up at me from the ground and said "you have 20 minutes, come in".

I walked in to the apartment and we sat on the couch. I explained everything. "Wow" she said speechless.

Chloe's POV

I can't believe what she did, but I'm very happy that she's not around anymore.

"Emily I still love you, I couldn't live without you, I missed you so much and I promise never to hurt you I will forever be yours, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes I will but I have to tell you something very important first" I said. His happy smile soon turned into a worried frown.

Now it's my turn to tell him. "What is it?" He said. "Im pregnant....with your baby" I said as I had tears rolling down my cheeks, Tanner lifted my chin up and looked me in my eyes. He said "I will always be here for you and we will raise this baby with all of our love and hope." My frown turned into a happy smile again. Having the thought of me and Tanner having a family made me very happy and excited.

We talked for the rest of the day and cuddled in my bed. We watched scary movies like old times and half the time I had Tanner's arm covering my eyes because something or someone would pop up on the tv screen.

// 2 DAYS LATER //

Today, Tanner is taking me on a lovely dinner date to a fancy restaurant.

I get dressed and put on my makeup. I throw on my red off the shoulder dress. I put on a little more makeup than usual but not so much so I wouldn't look like a cake face.

I walked out of my bedroom and saw Ariel sitting on the couch crying. I rushed over to her and asked her what happened. She told me that her and Corey broke up. She said that they agreed to break up because it just wasn't working out.

    // AFTER THE DATE //

The date went great, but when I got back to my apartment I walked in and the night was filled with Ariel crying, snacks, and romance movies.

             // MIDNIGHT //

       Ariel is asleep and I'm about to fall asleep my self. Ariel looks very uncomfortable on the couch, so I pick her up and lay her in her bed because she's incredibly light. I then went and laid down in my own bed. That was it I was out like a light.
