PAIGE'S POV
It's been 10 years since my father died and still no clue who killed my father. Ten years. I don't really know how I coped. After mom died Dad was all I had. Now he was gone. It seem silly to hold onto something for so long but maybe I would have felt better if I knew who did it.I sighed at the thought, the police have still not yet found the killer and the last 10 years of my life had been full of reporters and no privacy from the police either. Belltigo wasn't such a bad place filled with crime but I was having so little privacy that a teenager needs that I had to live with my aunt on a farm. Jonathan quit his job and studied law, so now he works for the murder and robbery units, but didn't want my father's case
Dad worked with the government as a Safety Manager. It was his job to make sure the areas were suitable for people to live in and for men to build. His job made travel a lot so I never saw him that much while he was alive, but that didn't mean I didn't love or miss him.
That was properly one of the reasons that I decided to study law, which was against Jonathan's advice as he stated it was a messy business as if I didn't know that already, yet he said my father would have been proud and that's what I wanted. To make dad proud.
