No matter how many times I tried to reason with Jo, he wouldn't budge into giving me the case. Soon I realized that it was not a wise choice to ask him, I had to turn to higher power. So I went to Mr Ford, the big man himself, and after a few fake tears and deep emotion used I finally got the case. I had to admit I had no idea where to start and asking Jonathan was not an option. So I hot the file on everything they knew about dads' death and walked to the coffee shop near the court house. Although there were others closer I preferred Cup. 'O Joe's, as it had the best muffins and coffee.

I was walking with my nose stuck in the folder when I landed butt first on the ground, papers flying around me and a poor victim lying flat on the ground, groaning opposite me. Panicking,  and I really don't think when I panic, I started slapping him lightly, in order to revive him though he didn't need it, which caused him to shoot up his head in surprise.

"Lady, first you ram me then slap me and we haven't even been properly introduced yet." I was first afraid he would sue me right there, but I heard the tease in his voice and calmed down, it was then I snapped out of my panic mood and took in his features.  He was a young man, properly a year or two older then me. He had curly dark brown hair that blended with his light brown skin. His eyes were a unique shade, they were brown on the outlines but shaded into a dark green. It was then I realized I had been staring into his beautiful eyes a little too long and he was now staring at me with a cheeky grin. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." I properly blushed a bright red which was obvious on my peach skin.  "I'm so sorry sir, I was heading out for lunch and wasn't watching where I was going."

"You were properly reading this," he said as he handed me the folder. My father's name had been written across the folder and as he read it something I couldn't read flushed in his eyes before he looked up at me and smiled. "Interesting choice." He said and I wandered if he knew about the case. "So you were going to lunch?" He continued and I nodded. "I was too, before you attacked me. Any place you recommend? "
"Well, I was going to Cup. 'O Joe's and in my opinion,  they have the best muffins this side of Belltigo.  Why don't you join me,  it's the least I can do?"

"You are forward. Asking me on a date already, Miss...?"
"It's just Paige." I interrupted. He smiled, "Well, Paige. You can call me Adrian. "
