*Paige's POV*
I was still crying when the bell to my house rang. I didn't know what to do, I was pretty sure I looked like a mess, but it was clear that whoever was at the door was not about to go away as the door kept pounding.

Sighing I got up and walked to the door. Opening the door, I found Adrain with a box of pizza in his hand.  "I called you and you weren't answering so I guessed you were either busy or in trouble. I was hoping you were just upset and needed a pizza. " he explained, making me want to cry more.

Adrain walked forward to hug me and lead me to the kitchen while holding me, while I was embarrassingly crying into chest chest.
"You're such a good comforter." I said while breathing in his scent like a weirdo, but it was familiar and comforting.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and I couldn't help but groan. Adrian smiled and squeezed me before letting me go, "I'll tell them to go away." I nodded thankfully and placed my head on the counter.

"I will see her now!" I sighed at the familiar voice and shouted, "It's okay Adrian. Let him in." Jonathan came busting in about 3 seconds later. When he saw me and my tear-stained eyes, he rushed over and gave me one of his right hugs that he used to give me as a child.

"I'm so glad to see that you are okay. " Jonathan stated. I pulled back with a questioning look, "What do you mean 'I'll okay', why would you think anything is wrong? "
"One of the men I work with said they saw you go to Mr. Jones."

"And what if I was!" I asked furious because I knew he would start treating me like a child again. Joe sighed and put his hand through his curly hair, "That man is dangerous, you shouldn't be spending any time near him."

"It's not like I'm dating him, he's old enough to be my father!" Jonathan sighed, "Don't be ridiculous. You know that's not what I meant. I just want you safe. You're father would kill me-."

"Well, it's too late for that seeing as he is already dead!" I said harshly and burst into into more tears as I saw both Joey and Adrian flinch. "I'm sorry, Paige. I didn't mean it that way. " said Jonathan apologetic.

I sighed, "No, it's not your fault. My girl hormones are just on an all time high." Adrian coughed and I realised the two were never introduced. "Oh Joey, this is Adrian, my uhm... friend. "

Jonathan raised his eyebrow but remained silent. "And Adrian, this is my father's old assistant, Jonathan." Adrian looked slightly uncomfortable and I almost laughed. I guess it made him uncomfortable to have a guy with me that looked so close and comfortable to be around another guy that looked so close and comfortable around me. Cute.

"Nasty scar there. How did you get that scar?" Jonathan asked, monotone, and I looked at Adrian in surprise. I didn't realise Adrian was wearing his shirt with his sleeves rolled up until it was only three quarters long, showing a part of his long scar.

Adrian awkwardly pulled at his sleeve in an attempted to cover it. "A little accident. It was a long time ago." he replied. Before Jonathan could say anything,  Adrian said, "I have to leave now, Paige. I have internship this afternoon."

I nodded and Adrian looked as though he wasn't sure whether to hug me or just say goodbye. I made the choice for him as I walked over and hugged him. He hugged me too and whispered, "Take the day off. Please Paige. I'll come visit you tomorrow. "
I nodded again and let go, before walking him to the door. By the time I returned to the kitchen, Jonathan was so looking towards my door as if he was pondering something, "Now look what you did,  Joey. You scared him off." I said

"Your friend, huh?" asked Jonathan, not bothering to reply to me about my previous statement. "Yes Jonathan, " I sighed, "his my friend. "

"I don't trust him." That shocked me.  Jonathan had only known Adrian for about five minutes,  how could he know whether or not he could be trusted. "How come?" I asked curiously.

Jonathan muttered something under his breath but all I heard was 'scar'. "His scar? What's wrong with having a scary. " I asked. Jonathan just looked at me, grabbed his bag and began to walk out.

But before he reached the door of my kitchen, he turned and said,  "You know a scar tells a very important story about a person. " and with that, he left.
