Deal? Deal.

"Hello, children." Vivian smiled at us.

Except it wasn't a normal smile. She looked insane.

"What're you doing here?" Griff stepped up.

"Waiting for you all to show up! You are very, very slow walkers. I've been waiting for nearly an hour." Vivian chirped back, she waved her hands in the air as she spoke.

She's lost it. "Where's dad?" I looked at her eyes, though they had really been too still, they went wild at my question.

"Where is he?" Griff balled his hands into fists.

"Dead," Vivian replied, drawing out the word in the air.

"What?!" Devian suddenly cut in, "Why? What did he do? How many more people have to die because of this god awful curse?!" He shouted at her.

I gasped. The curse. D.W.'s letter ran through my head.

Dearest Myrons,
You have stolen something very valuable to me. Now I have done the same to you. Your family is cursed with the Heart of the Dragon. The cure, The Dragon's Song, no longer exists. In each generation one child, one woman, and one man will die until the Myron family has vanished from the Earth. The Heart of the Dragon is one filled with anger and hate. Vengeance and fear. It cannot be controlled. It can't be stopped. You and your offspring and every Myron generation after will suffer this curse because of your ancestor's mistakes.
Sincerely,
D.W.

"Dad was the man," I whispered in a mix of shock and relief.

"That means that the curse is done for this generation than," Griff looked at Devian and I.

Tanner put his hand on my shoulder, "I'm sorry."

I only shook my head, "Doesn't matter much."

He looked shocked to say the least, "You've lost your father."

"I lost my mother and sister too. Death is something I've learned to cope with," I added, "Plus he wasn't a very good father."

Tanner said nothing more.

"The answer to your question my dear Devian, is no one. No one else will die from the curse your father cast. At least not in the generation." Vivian stared at Devian with mad eyes.

"How'd you know my name?" Devian reached for his gun.

"I'm," Vivian paused, "Close with your father. If you know what I mean." She chuckled.

I would've laughed at Devian's expression if this wasn't such a serious setting. He looked disgusted to say the least.

"Sorry bro," Griffyn muttered under his breath.

Tanner stifled a laugh.

I rolled my eyes.

"Your father is a man of many talents. He opened this whole world of magic to me. So beautiful. The curse he cast upon the Myron family is very serious, daughter." Vivian's wild eyes focused on me.

"I'm not your daughter." I spit back at her.

"Oh, well genetics and testing beg to differ." Vivian suddenly became sane for several seconds.

"Shut your mouth." Griffyn stepped in front of me. A fireball flared up in his hand.

Vivian stared, "Impressive. That takes quite a bit of magic."
