Chapter 7

Maui's P.O.V

I was at the back of the boat and Moana was at the front looking out into the ocean. I couldn't stop myself from looking at her and the curves of her body. I want to wrap my arms around her waist and take her in.

Moana's P.O.V

"Soooo you said that you were at Motunui before yesterday?" I said eyeing Maui trying to gauge his reaction. He immediately looked away there was a flash of emotion on his face and it looked like shame.

"I uh I was there because..." I take a step closer to him and run my hand on his arm. What could be so hard to say I look up at him. "Moana I had to know that you were okay...Clearly I couldn't even make sure you were safe." he looks at me and he looked so sad. I wrap my arms around Maui and he tenses up "Maui its not your fault, it's nobody's fault." Maui is looking at me I could see his eyes watering. "Moana I can't lose you, I...I love you Moana and not like a friend I want to spend every minute of every day with you. " I'm taken aback by his confession Maui loves me. Tears start to swell in my eyes I'm not sure how to comprehend this "Moana please say something." Maui says softly "Maui I, I dont know how to explain it but I think I knew you were there the entire time. And I would love to spend the rest of my life with you." I say and suddenly Maui lifts me up and spins me around with the biggest smile ever. "Really?" he asks looking at me like a kid being told they are getting chocolate forever. I nod my head grinning like there is no tomorrow. There was warmth inside my chest and my arm got warmer when the marking was. I looked down at it and it was darker and there was more designs around it.

I ran my hand over it, then Maui's hand was over mine he ran his finger over the fish hook. He then put his hand on my cheek he looked at me longinly and then our lips met the sensation sent electricity throughout my whole body. Then the kiss got more instense and I moaned he ran his other hand up my back and started kissing down to my neck. "Maui don't that tickles." I'm giggleing as he kisses my neck. He leans back and looks me in the eyes as he sweeps some hair from my face. Everything was perfect in that moment it felt like the gods stopped time just for us.

Then everything was a blur I was pulled from Maui's arms into the water I hit my head on the boat before I was under. Something had a hold of my leg I looked down and saw a siren. She had her sharp fingers digging into my ankle. My arm started to feel like it was on fire I looked and saw that my tattoo was pulsing blue down to my hand I shook my hand and it looked like a blue spear cut through the water. Thinking quickly I threw my hamd into the direction of the siren it peirced her shoulder and she let go letting out a screech. I felt a arm grab around my waist and pull me out of the water Maui threw me onto the boat. I started coughing up water then I saw the siren at the front of the boat bleeding from her shoulder she was screeching so loudly. I couldn't see straight with her doing that. Maui jumped over the boat and brought his fish hook down. The screeching stopped "Moana! Moana are you okay?" he said sitting down next to me pulling me into his lap.

My leg was hurting Maui saw the blood dripping from it. He got up while holding me in one arm got out some wrap and some cream made by our healer. "Stay still please" he started rubbing the cream onto the cuts. I hissed in pain he gently rubbed the rest of the cream and wrapped it. My body felt so exhausted I could barely keep my eyes open "I'm so tired Maui." drifting into darkness in Maui's arms.
