Chapter 8

Maui's P.O.V

What is going on we need to get to Tefiti to get some answers before anything else decides to happen. When I look down at her tears well in my eyes. This what I am so afraid of, losing her ,its been twice that her life has been endangered. I laid her down and took over the steering.

I couldn't focus on anything I kept trying to figure out what was happening. Then mini Maui started pointing to himself and the tattoos. "I'm not in the mood tiny" tiny crossed his arms then ran across my body pointing to more of my tattoos. He then ran to mini Moana then pointed to the tattoos then to her. "I know she is getting tattoos what does have to do with anything?" suddenly it dawned on me "That is impossible...could she really become a demigoddess?"

"Maui...Maui my arm!" She said looking her wrist the was a design of the ocean and a spear it was black at the edges but it was like the other tattoo.

The sun was setting I didn't realize it had gotten to be so late. Looking down at her arm I ran my hand across the newly formed tattoo. "Are you sure you don't know what this means?" she asked looking up at me.

"I have no idea..I mean maybe there could be one thing but Tefiti would be the one to say if it is true." I don't want to get my hopes up until I hear it from Tefiti.

"Well what is it Maui?" she stood up and came closer to me "I may be wrong but you could be changing into a demigoddess that would explain the attacks and the tattoos."

I run my hand across her cheek and moved a hair out of her face. "Maui..I'm glad that you're here with me"

"Moana.." I put my arm around her waist and lifted her and gently kissed her. She wrapped her legs around me and deepened the kiss. I could feel her heart pounding against my chest it felt like our hearts were having a race. Maybe I dont have to be afraid anymore. Maybe we can be together. I smiled at the thought then I heard really loud growl. "What now?" I said looking around to see what it was.

I heard Moana giggle "I might be a little hungry." she said and I realized I was still holding her. I set her down and she took out some pork, two bananas and some coconut water.

We sat and ate together it was pretty nice I couldn't stop staring at her the way she would close her eyes with everybite and she would make almost a purring sound if it was a good bite.

I cant believe how deeply I have fallen in love with this woman.

Moana's P.O.V

What if I am becoming immortal? Maui said he loved me but would he want to be with me forever? I looked up and saw that he was staring at me with that look.

"What?" I asked with a smile. "Nothing I just never thought I would meet someone as beautiful as you. Ya know other than me." he smiled and made me laugh.

I looked down and saw the bandage around my foot I wonder how bad it is. As I unwrapped it I felt Maui's eyes fixed on my leg. Once it was off I gasped and it was gone. It was amazing but also terrifying but I know Maui will be here with me.
