Chapter 12

Moana's P.O.V.

Things finally felt at ease that night, nothing eventful happened although we couldn't seem to keep our hands off of each other. It was so difficult to do anything right I also noticed that my tattoos were almost complete. It was like the closer we got to Tefiti the more the tattoo's got darker.

Not only that I could feel my body becoming less and less tired and I became more aware of things. I could almost feel the way the water moved, I could feel the energy of the water and the creatures inside of it.

I could also feel a power growing inside of me and I knew that for the test I must be ready for anything.

I felt a hand snake around my waist "Ya know..." Maui said while placing a kiss on my neck "You look so beautiful when you get lost in thought." He turned me around in his arms I felt my heart beat so hard in my chest how can do this to me all of the time.. not that I am really complaining.

"And I am in love with the feeling of your skin..." He gently kissed my lips "And the the way you look at me after we kiss" this time he trailed kisses down my neck. I felt like my body was on fire his touch always set me off. He then looked at me in all seriousness "I have lived for a very long time Moana and I have never found someone who I care about as much as you.. I have met many women in my time but none quite like you." I could feel tears prick at my at my eyes "I am so thankful that the gods have brought us together" he looked me deep in the eyes and caressed my cheek and we kissed a passionately deep kiss.

I could feel the world fading into the background I could feel our souls intertwining making a bond that nothing could break. I felt my heart overflow with love and joy I have never felt so at peace before. We pulled away from the kiss almost reluctantly "Maui..I love you" I saw him smile so wide and his eyes water up.

But with that I was thrown off the boat away from Maui away from my love.
"Moana!!" Maui transformed into a hawk but whatever was holding me moved faster.

I couldn't breathe in that moment I felt rage burn through my chest why must this always happen. I tried to squirm but the force gripped me harder. I could see Maui desperately trying to catch up.

Then there was a loud screech Maui was shot through the shoulder and he fell from the sky."NOOOO!!!" I let the rage loose my arm was pulsing a blue aura I used it to make a glowing spear and forced it through whatever was holding me. It released its grip on me and I landed in the water.

The ocean brought me to the land which I didn't realize was there. "Maui?! Maui?!" I could feel the pain I started running and found Maui bleeding out on the shore. Tears ran down my face "Maui?" Run my hand on his cheek "Hey princess...don't cry". He winced and looked at his shoulder "Moana you need to go and hide that thing is a demon it can do anything." I shook my head "I am not leaving you Maui" Maui suddenly moved in front of me. And I saw more blood there was another creature that looked like a shadow.

It was lifting a spear to Maui and before I knew I jumped at the thing and drove my blue spear through its chest. I heard it scream in agony but I felt the world start to fade into darkness and I felt Maui's arms around me. He was crying and saying something but I could not hear him.

I managed to get enough strength even thought I could feel myself fading away "I.. love you" I struggled to say the words but my world faded away to darkness before I could do anything...
