Chapter 4

Moanas P.O.V

"MAUI!!" I scream as tears start to well in my eyes. I throw my hands around him and relax for a minute.

"Moana what happened? What are doing out here?" Maui said with a worry laced voice.

"Ahe...Ahe attacked me in my hut" I said in a shaky voice not wanting to relive what just happened.

"WHAT?!" Maui yelled his voice sounded like thunder. "Did he hurt you?" he asked while looking me up and down, he grabbed my hand.

I hissed in pain and my wrist was swollen. "I'll kill that pathetic human for hurting you!" Maui looked up from me scanning the trees.

It surpised me how much Maui reacted I didnt think that he cared like that.

"Maui please just stay with me for a moment." My voice came out in a whisper. I dont want to go back to the hut, I just want to be with Maui.

Maui looked at me and smiled but then he frowned. "Moana you need to get some help." Maui said while looking at my swollen wrist.

"Maui I am fine it's not that bad." I said trying to be as convincing as possible. "If you are that worried Maui then there is some supplies in the boats there may be a wrap."

"Moana you are so stubborn sometimes" he sighs and walks with me to the beach there were 2 canoes. Maui started looking through it and pulled out some fabric. He gestured for my hand, "Maui I can do it myself." I said. He just rolled his eyes "Please Moana let me do it, it is the least I can do for not being there."

He looked down I could see he was very upset. I slid my hand into his and he very gently started wrapping it.

"This is all my fault" Maui said just barely above a whisper as he finished. I put my good hand up to his face and ran my hand across his cheek. He gently cupped my hand with his and leaned into my touch.

"Maui you just got here its not your fault" why on Earth would he think that this is his fault?

He looked down to the ground "Because...because I didnt just get here."

I looked at him confused "Maui even if you were here its not your fault." then I thought for a minute. "Wait...If you've been here then how come you haven't said hi or anything to me?"

"Because.. Moana I-" Mauis sentance was cut short by a very familar voice that sounded very sinister

"Mooannaaaa" the voice came from the woods I turned my head and saw Ahe standing there and he looked like pure evil in that moment.
