What Gio did was admirable. She barely know Earl but her eagerness to help him moved me. How could such a petite girl have a huge heart.
Sa hospital nasa lobby pa lang kami nong may mga nurses na bumati kay Gio, oh yeah nurse nga pala sya so malamang dito sya nagwowork. I hope I can work with her too but kailangan ko muna makapasa.
30 minutes na akong nakahiga pero hindi pa rin ako dinadalaw ng antok kasi in less than 5 hours eh may assessment na naman ako. Thoughts of her flooded my mind. Ed told me that she could be lesbian but i beg to disagree, I know this for a fact that she's straight.
Na-interrupt ang thought ko about her when my phone buzzed, may nagtext...
Earl: tol, salamat ulet. Nakauwi na ba kayo?
Me: don't mention it and yeah mga 30minutes ago pa.
Earl: tol, please don't mess with Gio.
Me: what do you mean?
Earl: tol, the way you look at her tells me you're interested with her but im not quite sure about your intentions.
Me: where is this coming from?
Earl: tol, I just don't want to see her hurting. Mabait sya, I've known her for a while now and sobra syang caring sa mga taong nasa paligid nya. You can ask Ate Mae or Kuya Chester.
Me: yeah I noticed how she is with people around her, tol.
Earl: so please treat her differently, I mean nice and don't mess with her.
Me: I don't intend to.
I was certain na wala akong planong makipaglaro kay Gio cause I know for a fact na hindi sya ganong klaseng babae. It's been a while since ive paid attention to a girl – I mean took the time to observe her and eager to know more about her - But the real question is am I ready?
Holidays' over and its been 4 days since I saw Gio and I hate to admit but im missing her. During weekends ko lang sya nakikita, kung pwede lang laktawan ang Mondays to Fridays ginawa ko na yong tipong sat-sun lang lagi.
Thursday night, I feel lifeless. Kumakanta pero something's off hindi sintonado pero the people who know me know something's wrong. My bandmates gave me a questioning and worriedlook but Earl gave me a sympathetic look, chances are he knows that it has something to do with Gio.
"tol, may problema ba?" Ed asked during intervals. Obvious na nag-aalala sya.
"nah, im fine." I assured him but obviously he didn't buy it
"gusto mo pahinga ka muna?" Joms offered
"oo nga kami na bahala sa last set." Dagdag ni Ed
"nah, okay lang ko. Relax." I once again tried to convince them but failed miserably then Joms laid his hand over my forehead
"wala ka naman lagnat." Sabi nya after icheck ang body temp ko
"wala syang lagnat, LABNAT meron!" Earl interjected and I glared at him which earned me a smirk from him
"we'll talk about this later." Ed promised. Oh man im doomed.
And as promised, we talked about it over beer at Joms' place.
"so LABNAT huh?" simula ni Ed
"well, not really." Sagot ko
"wow tol, gets na namin." Sarcastic na sagot ni Joms
