Ariana's journey to the past had ended.
A massive hole in her heart had finally been fixed.
Recovering the truth about her past. Her future was now able to begin.
After Ariana and falcon watched toddler Ariana sit and cry in loneliness for a while. The last Rosewood citizen was flying out of the dome, but milliseconds before exiting, he dropped a small round object. It fell elagently to the ground, all the human soldiers unaware due to them selfishly celebrating their victory, it quietly dropped landed on a chimney of a nearby home, and instantly exploded releasing memory-swiping gas.
Anyone left on the ground would have been affected. Including Ariana. The mayor couldn't take any risks, he ordered for their entire town to be fumigated with this poison to protect their identity. No one would know of the night... ever... and who they were, and what they were doing there. Their memories replaced with an alternative life, or many remembered no life at all.
The world would know of their town as a town who was struck with an accidental fire. And had no survivors. Or so they thought.Andy, Ariana's adoptive father, had his memories replaced, he was taught to remember his past as being a firefighter rather than a soldier, so therefore acted as the brave soul that rescued Ariana that night.
Everything now became clear. The loss of her parents, her memories, and even her accidental abandonment.
Which falcon could never feel more sorry for.-------
Light shines through Ariana's opaque curtains, forcing her out of her tranquil sleep. She sits up quickly, pulling a muscle, and stretching uncomfortably from the crooked position of her worn-out bed frame.
She slowly rubs her eyes, swiping away mountains of sleepy dust, attempting to re-adjust herself to the strange world she's just woken up in. As the still dark room focuses around her, her pupils adjust to the surroundings and her mind quickly regains full consciousness of the situation.
After reminding herself she is still in Rosewood, a smile rapidly grows on her face.
She's home.
She can finally learn to be her.Although after their trip to the old Rosewood last night, she can't help but feel a little homesick after seeing her father Andy for the first time in a while. She wonders what they're up to back in England, if they've recovered from what they've witnessed, and If they've already moved on... from her.
Ariana had just finished all her final exams, and is supposed to be getting her GCSE results in about a months time. But she's accepted she's going to have to forget about all that, and move on with her new life, rather than leading one that wasn't meant for her.She needs to focus on the more important things like learning the way of life in her new home. And meeting some new people.
Eventually, after a final stretch of the arms, and a large yawn, she stands herself up, and searches for something a bit warmer to put on.
Her eyes scower the room, but there's just nothing here, no dressing gown, nothing.
Her brown roots scrape the splintering ceiling, considering her already small height, this comes as quite a shock to Ariana.
The lack of decorum suggests falcon doesn't receive many visitors.
The bedroom contains a simplistic nature, with a bed in one corner - made of wood - a small, brown wardrobe, with slight hints of pink paint where maybe some colour used to be. (But it's also made of wood)
And a large window, with a fantastic view, the borders of the window - wood. The only hope of some colour lies outside this room, in the distance. A stunning green field stretches for miles, beautiful gardens of roses lay in patches behind each home. She stares out at the wonderful colour of the wild flowers, not yet knowing what's real, and what's well, I guess... half human.
But she notices something interesting about the roses. They're not red nor white; but purple. A stunning lilac purple, every rose slightly different, one standing out from the next.
