In horror over the events of yesterday, and Falcons words today, she sprints back in to her room.
Now she's been told that only dark souls possess the power to hold such magic, she begins contemplating her own life!

Is Ariana actually one of the most dangerous souls ever to live in Rosewood?
Was she brought here not by the wonders of the unicorn, but by the dark souls themselves?

But Ariana doesn't get it. She knows she's not evil. She knows she would never harm another living soul. Maybe everyone is right? Maybe everyone already knows the truth and that's why they're so scared of her?
And maybe that's why Ridge seemingly hates her so much?

There's only one way to find out more. Pressing her ear up against the door, she awaits for the creeking flooboards to sound again, waiting for  Falcon to head back to his room. After several nail-biting minutes, the lock on Falcons door makes its final click, and Ariana proceeds straight out her room and up the stairs.

Without thinking about the consequences, she ruffles through all the old, crummy books, and eventually comes across a tab labelled 'forbidden to read'.

Without hesitation, she dives in.
Not knowing exactly what she's looking for, it's a frustrating few minutes of desperation. Falcon unknowingly gave her the key to finding out the truth about this dangerous power, when he accused her of looking through the forbidden books. But that hasn't stopped her from actually doing it. Flicking them off the shelf one by one, making noise as they heavily thump to the ground, Ariana eventually stumbles against a title that seems promising.

'Dark souls and their forbidden powers'

"Thats it!" She mumbles ecstatically under her breath.

She does a quick scan of the room below, ensuring Falcon still remains hidden away. Then she goes back to grab the monstrously heavy book off the shelf, and lugg it back to her room.

As she throws it on top of her duvet, she lets out a humongous sigh, as if she had just lifted the entire book shelf over her back. She makes a guess that Falcon probably cursed them with something, to make them so unbelievably heavy, so that no one can steal them. Extra strengthening powers are accompanied with having the soul of a mermaid, which she guesses Falcon must have forgot.

She gets comfortable on her bed, and lays the thousand-paged book in front of her.
One day, she will read it all. But right now, she's looking for the soul that has the ability to posses a time-freezing ability.

An hour goes by. There's been no luck. There is no index , nothing to guide her on where to look. But she guesses that's probaably for the best. If anyone could get their hands on such a book, there could be disastrous consequences.
Which makes her wonder why Falcon has it in the first place? But that question will have to wait.

More drowsy, more fed up, Ariana flicks through each individual page, barely looking at their titles.
But eventually, on the page 1987, a ray of hope appears.
'Time travellers: Their disastrous consequences'

Again, Ariana bounds around in joy. And prays this is it. However, this mentions time 'travellers' which isn't the same thing as being 'frozen' in time. But she reads on instead, and begins with the heading

'History of the Amoryllis'
The Amorylliss is known to legend as one of the most dangerous souls to have ever lived.
It has no thirst for blood,
No desire to kill,
But it has the ability to destroy any given time period of its wishes.
