It has been exactly one month since Ridges death, and the town has slowly been adjusting to life with a Unicorn as queen.
Ariana decided not to move into Ridges castle, despite everyone saying she must as her duty as queen. However, Ariana decides its size could have greater uses, so she has donated it to Mady to use as a hosptial. A place where she can train more souls to become nurses, and where more people can be treated.
Ariana believes it is one of the major steps towards building a more developed town where all souls should be comfortable living in.Ariana and Falcon continue living in their normal home, but everyone insisted on making it bigger and more private, somewhere fit for a queen. Ashton helped persuade Ariana in to it, and eventually she agreed. Ariana and Falcons home was extended and improved massively. No more leaks or creeking floorboards, no more darkness within every room. And no more hunched over Falcon...they also built a wooden gate in front of their home to ensure maximise privacy for royalty. But Ariana wanted to make a few changes to its appearance. So she imagined what she wanted the gate to look like, Falcon read her mind and transformed it. It is now a silver metal gate, with large gaps In between to ensure that Ariana can still see everything that is going on outside her home.
Falcon finally explained everything to Ariana, and why his physical appearance had suddenly changed to a man who looked more suited to his age. "When I made the mistake of building a dome that no one could escape out of, Ridge didn't just fire me from my job. He ordered one of the dark souls that were working for him to curse me. Of course I didn't know how he had done it at the time because we didn't know dark souls still existed, but of course , thanks to you, we all know the truth about them. They cursed me where I became an old man, left with a young mind. Whenever I would be excited about anything or become involved in large events, I would feel pain all over my body. The curse forced me to become tired if I became too happy or energetic, and it eventually destroyed who I was. Mentally, and physically... but since Ridges death, the dark soul who cursed me lifted the curse and he explained how he was forced in to everything, and the torture that Ridge put him through. We shook hands, and we both became who we were before, free, and happy souls. Free of Ridge and this crippling pain and fear. This is the real me..."Ariana is astounded by the truth.
She never believed there was actually anything wrong with Falcon, just that that was how people looked in Rosewood?Tonight, everyone will be attending a special bonfire, that they're naming 'Flames for Ariana.'
Every soul in the town will be coming, but this time, the bonfire has a different purpose. Nixon's idea was to change the purpose of the bonfire, where they aren't going to be focusing on celebrating being free of the humans, but instead celebrating the day they became free of the dragons, and Ariana became their queen.Ariana decides to wear the purple dress that she had previously lied to Falcon about wearing, when she went on that 'date' with Ashton.
It is truly a beautiful dress, and she knows everyone will want to see it. And she feels turning up in a pair of leggings and a scrappy jumper as her first outing as queen, wouldn't be widely accepted.
Falcon doesn't go as all out as Ariana, but his beard is still trimmed and his clothes are clean, which is more than anyone has seen of Falcon in a long time."Are you ready to go, My Queen?" Says Falcon in a slight jokey kind of way, but also whilst swiping her lushously thick, dark hair out of her eyes, to reveal her natural beauty.
"I'm ready...I think." Ariana replies feeling slightly nervous.
"You look stunning Ari. I still can't believe your my daughter... well of course your mother had something to do with it as well... She would be so proud of you, you know." At the rare mention of her mother, Ariana can't help but let a small tear escape. But it is a tear of mixed emotions. Sad that her mother can't be with her to celebrate their victory and watch Ariana grow up in to a young women, but still happy, knowing how proud her mother would be to know Ariana continued to stand up for what she believed in, and in the end...
it all turned out okay.
