Calmly, Ariana sneaks back in to her house through the back door.

Arriving at the unsuitable time of 6 o'clock, she fears her parents reactions after refusal to tell them where she was going.
To ensure her location wasn't to be found, her phone remained at home.

It undoubtedly was a perplexing journey back.

Ariana's friends remained in a state of hysteria, whilst contemplating their actions of today.

But to Ariana... every second of it was worth it.

Hushly arriving through the back door, Ariana's adoptive mother, stands right there..

"And where the hell have you been!! I thought you'd ran away... or ... or been kidnapped or something!" She says whilst screaming.
" I... I just went to hang out with some friends ."
"And you didn't bother telling me?"
"Well I didn't think you would be bothered to know. You certainly didn't care that it was my 16th birthday... dad didn't care so he went off for a meeting on my 16th birthday.  I... I was abandoned. Again... I can't keep living like this... I can't be alone anymore!"
Ariana suddenly starts hyperventilating and rushes up the stairs.
"Ari wait!!! What do you mean, you know we're always here for you?"

She sprints rapidly up the stairs and directs herself into her bedroom. Ignoring her surroundings, her bloodshot eyes head straight for the cottonless pillow. It was as empty as her broken heart.
Tormented trouble scattered throughout her mind, so much fear over her own emotions.
Not knowing how to feel, should she be happy about finally revisiting a sight of her troubled  past? But yet retuning with more questions than on arrival?
Or feel angry over how her 'parents' discounted the fact her 16th birthday was a time for celebrations!? A time to be together... but they just turned their backs on it... like it didn't even matter... like she contributes nothing to this world...

Her longing purpose yet to be unearthed.

The desperation for wanting to know the truth...
why She is deprived of the ability to know her parents and her past.

Suddenly an overwhelming urge to conduct the use of her powers suffocates her body.
As if a river of uncontrollable magic is enforcing its demand to be released.

She tenses her hands and quickly jumps up off her bed... and then it happens...

She swishes her arms in an exquisite motion, yet releasing dark power as thrashing of belongings and furniture overide the simplicity of her quiet nature.
Schoolbooks take flight above her desk, scattering paper across the length of her bedroom carpet.

Every last leg on each of every chair, sliced through as clean cut as could be.
Then further disintegrating slices are made down to needle sized splinters.

Ariana continues as if she's no longer in control, an ability her mind can't comprehend over the strength of her inner power.

This unexplainable trate she discovered 8 years ago, she's finally agreed with herself.... 'I have power'

With longing hope that it was just a phase every Human goes through, something every human has... she quickly realises... she can't be human.

An impulse of sudden sparks of lightning tower over the house, then an abstractive light wave travels through the house's electrical system and faults all surviving electricity.

Then it stops.

A deafening silence.

The only noise to be heard is the sound of Ariana's heavy breaths coming from within her.
She stares at the mess she's created, an unintentional outburst of a situation that has no human... no logical... and no scientific explanation...
