Jay and Emilia had spent their whole day yesterday looking at houses. At first Emilia was completely against moving house but by the end of the day she had decided that she would just move into Jay's apartment and sell her and Steve's apartment, something she had been avoiding for nearly four months.Emilia had gotten up around an hour ago, she had woken up by the sound of Jay making breakfast. He had arrived back from a run and decided to make breakfast, not that Mia was complaining.
"I'm going to work." Mia declared as she slid of the chair. Placing her plate in the sink Mia headed back over to the table and kissed her boyfriend's head.
It was now 6AM and she was about to head to her shift. She hated the early start but she got used to it fairly quick.
"Okay. Remember I won't be back until late tomorrow." Jay reminded, tilting his head upwards Jay managed to kiss Emilia before she moved away.
Emilia nodded. She pulled on her coat and grabbed her bag and keys from the side unit before she moved closer to the door. "Bye." She shouted
"Hey Em?" Jay waited until she looked back before he said softly. "I love you."
Emilia's smile brightened, she would never get tired of hearing that. "I love you too."
Mia wandered to her bright red '69 Ford Mustang and made her way to the firehouse. It had just turned 6:14 in the morning allowing her 25 minutes to arrive for her shift.

"Morning" Emilia sang as she strolled through the firehouse. It was actually their first official shift back at 51, though Mia had never left it still felt like she was now at home.
"Someone's peppy." Stella commented, her tone knowing. "What did you get up to this morning?" She wiggled her eye brows.
Emilia rolled her eyes, "nothing. Me and Jay...we're just really good at the minute."
Stella, now a genuine smile on her face wrapped an arm around Emilia's shoulder. "You look happy lieutenant." She said sincerely.
"That's because I am." Mia acknowledged. She really was. "Now. I'm gonna change out."
Mia practically skipped her way to her locker greeting her fellow firefighters as she passed. Emilia dumped her bag on the floor before pulling on her uniform, slamming the door shut she caught sight of the white tape that had been sprawled across her locker. Her smile faltered a bit.
"You're gonna have to move on one day"
Emilia turned back to her friend for a second before she faced her locker again. She reached her hand towards the tape and ripped the white tape from her locker. Matt, with a pleased grin handed Emilia the masking tape a long with a marker pen.
'Frances' She scribbled her name down on the tape, Emilia's smile was not going to disappear.
Bouncing her way back to the common room Mia headed straight over to the coffee machine poring herself a coffee whilst Squad made breakfast.
"She looks happy." Gabby noted. She had been watching her friend from her seat beside Matt.
"I think for once, she really is." He smiled sincerely before he returned to his morning paper.
It had been three weeks since Gabby and Matt had gotten married, Mia who had been one of the witnesses had been quick to protest, she had always wanted her best friends to have a big wedding but she had been adamant to throw them a wedding party soon after. Louie had since returned to his father's family which had really brought the newly wedded couple down. Mia had reassured them that someday they would become great parents a wish she had for herself one day but not at the minute, her relationship with Jay was fairly fresh.
