Alyssa went through another simple day of school and when she got home she texted Michelle. 'Hey. I don't know when you get out of school but text me when you can. Maybe we can meet at the park.'

She of course was scared but she wanted to talk to her about a school dance tomorrow. She was nervous about if she would go or not.

'Yeah I just got home, let me change and I'll meet you there,' Michelle soon texted back. Alyssa was wearing basketball shorts and a baggy shirt once again so she didn't really feel the need to change. She slipped on her shoes and headed out the house to the park.

It usually took her 15 minutes to get there so she got there before Michelle. She smiled and climbed onto her swing on the right side. She sat there and didn't swing as she waited. Soon enough she saw Michelle walking up in white shorts and a pink tank top. It was warmer today than yesterday but Alyssa still didn't think it was warm enough for any shorts above the knee.

"Hey," Alyssa smiled as she got off the swing. Michelle giggled and ran up to her hugging her.

"Hey Ly," she smiled then walked over to the swings. Alyssa followed smiling softly and they both sat on the swings. "So how was your day?" Michelle asked her.

"It was the same as always, just another day," she chuckled in response. Alyssa bit her bottom lip nervously as she contemplated when she should ask her.

"Nothing exciting at all?" Michelle asked fake gasping.

"Well, everyone was talking about the dance tomorrow but that's it. I actually, wanted to ask you about it. I mean, I wanted to ask if you would like to go," she said a bit shyly to her.

"School dances are so boring though. How about you come over to my house tomorrow, Saturday, and stay the night. We could dance, hang out, eat a lot of snacks, and just have more fun than at a dance," Michelle suggested smiling widely and excitedly.

"That would be fun, I'll ask my dad when I get home," Alyssa agreed smiling softly.

"Great! My parents rarely care who stays the night, as long as they aren't a boy, or mean," Michelle excitedly. Alyssa felt very excited about this because now she got to stay the night with her instead of just going to a dance.

"So how was your day?" Alyssa asked smiling over at her.

"Well I had a test in Calculus but it wasn't hard, then I got my essay back and got a 96 on it. Also I finally got LA's phone number!" Michelle explained with a slight squeal.

"Who is LA?" Alyssa asked her curiously.

"Well he's a boy in my History class, we've been talking for a few days and I finally got his phone number," Michelle explained.

"Oh, well may I ask why you're so glad to have his number?" Alyssa asked a bit quieter. She didn't want to admit it but she had developed a huge crush on Michelle. It may have only been two days now but she still liked her a lot more than a friend already.

"Well I've had a crush on him for about a month now, but he didn't really talk to me until like Monday," Michelle blushed a bit. Alyssa heard the word crush and felt like her heart had sank, she didn't want to show she liked her especially now that she knew she liked a boy.
