:14: Depression

“Breakfast!” yells Karianna, waking me up immediately. I groan from not wanting to eat at all right now and turn to my right to see an empty bed beside me. I bite my lip, wondering where Camic had gone, until I suddenly remember last night. I can’t recall it all, but once I sit up and I notice I wear nothing, immediately my eyes go wide. Pulling my covers up to my chin and holding them tight there, I remember exactly what had happened last night. I had given myself to Camic and I can’t believe I had let it go that far. I shake from the fear of what may happen, but immediately shove the thought aside when I hear Karianna yell for me to come eat once again.

I shakily get off the bed, changing into clothes I find from the drawers and make my way into the kitchen. I have to get my mind off what happened last night, but that’s all I can think about now since my eyes are set upon Camic at the table. I just can’t believe that happened…my mother had always told me to be careful not to do such a thing before a certain age. And yet I didn’t listen…

“Finally you come!” Karianna says to me, as I plop myself shakily into an empty chair beside Jess. “I’ve made bacon, eggs, and French toast so you better eat a lot.” she tells me, sliding me a plate full of the food. I thank her, for she’s actually being nice to me for once and start to dig into the delicious food in front of me.

“How long are we staying here?” asks Cameron, as she sits across from me. I look up from my food for a mere moment, but only to remain back to it once Camic responses to the question.

“Well we’re already out of the state; we don’t necessarily need to go anywhere else other than here. We have heating and food, which I know will soon run out, and electricity. It seems like whoever lived here before us, had a good life.” Camic tells us all. And he’s right; whoever did live here had it real good. Everything seems orderly and neat, not a worn out spot on the wooden floorboards and not a trace of dirt anywhere. Cleaner than anything I’ve ever seen in my life.

“So this is our new home?” Belle asks shyly, looking up to me. I swallow down my food fast and look over to her as well.

“Yeah,” I reply, smiling at her and watching as she slightly smiles back as well. “Home sweet home,”

Later that day, when the sun had seemed to set on the horizon and everyone was tired and worn out from preparing the house to our needs, we all gathered around the living room. I lay on one of the red couches, my head in Camic’s lap and his fingers twirling in my hair; while all the others gather around as well, sitting on the two others couches or lying down casually on the hard wooden floor around.

Belle and Cameron seem to be taking a like to each other, since they seem to be together nonstop.Belle sits beside him on one of the other couches next to ours, while Karianna and Jess find themselves sitting up against the couch in front of Belle and Cameron, beside Adrian.

“What’s on your mind?” Camic asks, as he looks down to me dazing off in my thoughts. I can still here the other chatter around us, but I zone it out to talk to him.

“Did that really happen last night?” I whisper, loosing eye contact with him immediately.

“Yeah,” he replies, brushing through my hair once more. “It did.” I sigh, closing my eyes tight and trying to put my thoughts into words.

“You do know what could happen, right?” I ask, looking up to him then. He nods slowly, bringing his hand over to my stomach before speaking.

“I didn’t really think it over until this morning, but I’m sure nothing will happen.” he whispers back, kissing my forehead gingerly. I nuzzle into him and nod, hoping he’s right…
