:Epilogue:

Me and Jess, we escape. We pass the state limits of Minnesota and now live in North Dakota, since we didn’t want to live in a state in which caused so many bad memories. North Dakota has been doing us good though, even if terrorists still run the country, but the citizens here are all so friendly and have offered us homes immediately once we came.

I live in a small little cabin with another female my age named Margret. Margret is a pale little thing with long blonde hair always pulled back in a braid and blazing blue eyes. She has been very welcoming to me by letting me live in her home and she has made my transition from my old life a lot easier.

As for Jess, he lives across the street with two other males his age named, Jarden, and Oliver. He has been accepting life here just as well as I have and has been helping me through my pregnancy every day.

And soon enough on August 24th, 2012, he even helped me with delivering my little baby girl, Auburn in the small town of Casselton where we live. Her beautiful brown hair and dark green eyes resemble her daddy in many ways, yet I never have had the courage to tell her exactly what did happen to daddy that tragic day. But as for now, she doesn’t need to know what happened, considering she is only two. One day though I’ll have to tell her…

“I think it’s someone’s bedtime,” I say to Auburn, as I watch her yawn on my chest. She always looks so peaceful when she sleeps, so innocent.. “I hope you’re having sweet dreams my baby.” I whisper to her, before kissing her forehead gently.  “I love you." I whisper once more, rocking her gently in my arms; sending me to fall slowly asleep as well...

--

I’m awoken suddenly by rapid knocking on our front door, which sends me to grasp Auburn frantically in my arms and rush up from the seat I was placed in.

“Hello?” I ask a bit loudly towards the door, accidentally waking up Auburn in the process. Her little eyelids flutter open from her slumber, revealing those beautiful green eyes of hers. “I’m sorry for waking you baby.” I whisper to her, as I listen closely to the silence that now echoes the house. Good, whoever was here is gone. I think to myself, as I sigh deeply and walk, Auburn back into her room for bed.

I smile once I see her slowly falling back asleep on her small little brown bed, but immediately get startled again when I hear the knocking once more on the front door; much softer than before...almost as if they were about to give up.

Groaning, I walk on over to the front door quickly; creaking it ajar and peaking my head out of the slit the door makes. Do my eyes deceive me? I think to myself, as I open up the door completely and stare at the person in front of me. No, this can’t be possible, I’ve gone delusional… I think once more, but soon I realize that my eyes are not deceiving me, but that he is really standing in front of me…

“Camic?”
