Worth it All

Chapter 6

William glared at Karma and wiped the blood from his lip, damn the bastard hit hard. He shouldn't have let his guard down, especially not around him, he was always tough as nails. He looked over at Scarlet and Joe who obviously weren't to happy with the situation, which was confirmed a second later when Joe attacked. He punched at Karma wildly, going for the face and chest. Karma seemed to be effortlessly dodging it before he kicked him in the ribs and sent him to the ground.
William couldn't help but smile as Scarlet stepped up, he knew she could take him. She went after him with everything she had as Karma barely dodged her punches and bat swings. His luck ran out as her bat cracked him in the ribs, and she spun, back swinging it into his face.
That's Scarlet alright...
His heart picked up speed at the sight of it all, knowing how dumb it was for that to be happening right now. But all of that left his mind as Karma went low and swept her feet. She went to the ground for a second before being right back up and after him again.
Fuck this shit, I'm not being lazy and sitting on my ass.

He stood, checking his jaw as he went over to Joe.
"You alright man? You kinda went ape shit back there."
He rolled over and glared at him. "Fuck you," he mumbled behind clenched teeth, "I'm only in this mess cause of you."
"Yeah but you two love me, and you know it."
"Depends on the day."
William ignored him as he looked back at the fight. Scarlet was giving him hell, and he definitely seemed to be struggling. He narrowly dodged a few more of her bat swings before she caught him in the chest with a kick. She swept his feet and not a second later nearly smashed his face in as her bat cracked down next to it on the ground.
"You done? If not I'm up for kicking your ass some more."
Karma grinned wildly, "Your a feisty bitch, think I'm gonna enjoy this."
He arched himself before he buried his fist in her stomach.
You son of a bitch, piece of shit!
William snapped to his feet and sprinted to them, jumping on top of Karma and unleashing hell with his fists.
His eyes burned murder as he unloaded blow after blow on Karma's face, which he tried to guard behind his arms.
"You son of a bitch I'll rip you apart!" His voice sounded feral and full of rage.
Karma kneed him in the ribs and rolled, landing on top of him and unleashing his own punches. William thought it was gonna hurt like hell...
Until Scarlet smacked him right in the nose with the butt of her bat, knocking him out.
"Thanks.. you saved my ass, again." William grinned through the bruises and stood up, where Scarlet smacked him upside the head.
"Ah! What did I do?" He said pleading, only to be met by another smack.
"I don't need you to protect me. I could have handled him and you know it."
"Yeah, I know, just wanted to help a little."
"Well, thanks for helping I guess, it was sweet." She grinned before smacking him in the head again.
"Oh, come on! What now?" He stared at her waiting for a response, but instead she just smiled and walked away. He didn't know why but that made him smile, and he felt happy, before he remembered getting bitch smacked into a wall.
Walking over and glaring down at the unconscious Karma, he tsked, "I'm gonna have some words with you when you wake up."
"We all will, I'm gonna pay him back for that hit." Joe moaned in pain, bitching the whole time while Merlin and Cody made their way up to get him.
"Anything else we need?" Scarlet asked, glaring at Karma.
"Dont think so, just this jackass."
"Well let's get out of here then, see you guys out front I'm driving." She grinned as she ran outside.
"Shit! Last one there has to ride with her!" William sprinted out of the room as Merlin gunned it outside, leaving Cody and Joe in the room to carry Karma.
"Shit." They said in unison as the picked him up.
