Chapter 16

I'm glad I didn't carry that bag now.
He held his hand to his wound the whole way down the stairs. fuck, it hurt. But he couldn't be whinning right now, he needed to soldier up. And besides, the beautiful girl walking in front of him was more then enough to keep him tough, damn did she look good.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Robert opened the door and let everyone out, making a B-Line to the cars. He let out a light laugh when he saw his brother's charger, muscle ran in the family.
"Joe and Cody are already on their way to the meet up spot, Merlin is on on his way to the house to get more gear." He hugged his brother, "see you there, you pain in the ass." He hopped in with his friend and took off, leaving him and Scarlet standing in the parking lot. He didn't know why, but it made him nervous. It had been a long time since he'd gotten to spend time with her. She smiled and hopped in the driver seat, swinging the keys on her finger.

His mouth dropped as he looked around and patted himself down, damn she was quick. She giggled and smiled "You aren't driving, get in."
Fuck...

He held onto the seat even though he was buckled as she went twice the speed limit, dodging in and out of traffic.
I'm going to die. She's going to kill me.
She slid in front of a gas pump outside of a gas station, William frozen and shaken as he held onto the seat like they were still driving. He could feel her glaring at him, so he just smiled and stuck his tongue out at her before they got out and went in, he payed for gas and started to fill up. Just as it started to finish he saw her walk out and smacked himself so hard in the forehead that he was sure it left a hand print. She had her arms filled with chips, cheese itz, monsters, and slim jims.
"What? I'm gonna be hungry." She gave that dimpled smile and he couldn't even try and argue.
"Do I get a monster?"
"Fuck off."
"So maybe?"
She thought for a second, "Maybe." He let out the laugh he had been trying to hold in, holding his chest from the movement. Surprisingly she was right next to him the next second, her hand on his wound. He looked into her eyes, and placed his hand on her cheek, his body movements not even needing to think. He leaned forward and did something unthinkable.

He licked her nose.

Scarlet froze completely before almost screaming, taking his shirt and wiping it off, smacking her hand down on his wound. He let out a laugh and groan at all of this as she turned her back, ignoring him.
Oh no you dont...
He pulled her back against his chest, his arms around her stomach. She lifted and dropped her arms lazily, a fake effort to get away as she leaned her head back against his shoulder and relaxed. He took a deep breathe and smiled, closing his eyes to savor the moment.
"William?"
"Hmmm?"
"We're gonna be late dummy, we gotta go."
He let out a sigh and pouted "Fine, but we're finishing this later." He gave her a wink before hoping in the passenger seat with all the food and drinks, cracking open a monster for her and setting it in the drink holder. They took off again, arriving an hour later.

It was a large mansion in the woods, made mostly out of wood and brick. It had a large amount of windows to see in and out, with a path leading down to a small lake. There were guards posted on the second and first floor, with two at the front door. They entered the mansion, William carrying all of the junk food which left the guards with a pretty big smile.
Assholes.
That thought left his mind as he looked around. The entire mansion was magnificent, there was polished wooden floor covered in fine red carpet, the main room had a large flat screen covering a whole wall, with a door way leading to the kitchen right next to it. The furniture was mostly dark brown and black leather, with paintings of wolves, foxes, tigers, and bears covering the walls. William sighed as he heard the sound of arguing and gaming on the big screen.
"Gotcha, bitch!"
"Shotgun fucker!"
Merlin quickly dodged multiple bullets on the game from Cody and Joe, Robert waiting in the wings to play the winner. Merlin laughed as he sprinted into a room, "You can't catch me, I'm an Armadilo~" he started to sing those words over and over.

William was so baffled and entranced by the gameplay, it took him a second to realize that Scarlet had taken the junk food and was chilling with all of them, devouring Cheese itz as Cody cracked open a monster.
"You need to make noise when you move."
"You need to pay attention more."
He sighed and rubbed his forehead, knowing he was too tired and sore to argue. He went upstairs to the master bed room and plopped face first onto the red-velvet sheets of the bed, he managed to pull of his shirt and lay on his back, resting his hands behind his head. A few minutes passed and he started to doze off, suddenly feeling a warm cheek and hair rest on his chest. He gently ran his fingers through Scarlet's hair as he heard her snore lightly, falling into his own sleep not long after.
