Okay, let's face it. Wattpad is a bit different than everyday regular social media, even though you've more than likely added it to your daily media routine. It's different from Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. And don't get me started on how different it is from FanFiction.net- even though I know people who would beg to differ.

Since the site started to grow popular in 2007, Wattpad has grown in size and community dramatically. Wikipedia says; "Wattpad originated in 2006... Currently, Wattpad is being used by more than 45 million people."

Yeah, that a huge poop load of people.

The site consists of both fan-girls in desperate need of fan fiction, creepy stalker 40 year old men who want to do more than just read golfing fan fiction, teenage boys who I hope will somehow fall in love with me so I can marry them and we can talk about Marvel the rest of our lives (don't look at me), and honest regular people who just want to read a good (free) thriller.

Wattpad is slowly becoming the go-to place for a good (free) fanfiction that is written by people all over the world just like them.

Wikipedia says; and yes, I love sounding professional by using quotation marks and internet info; "Wattpad is an online storytelling community where users post written works such as articles, stories, fan fiction, and poems, either through the website or the mobile app. The content is submitted by writers of all levels who are given an equal chance to write popular works."

I mean, who the heck doesn't want to read a book written by a true fan? It's better than watching a movie directed by J.J. Abrams who has managed to ruin both Star Trek and Star Wars.

On Wattpad, all the stories either truly suck a male's genitals, or they are a online treasure.

But, of course, just like any good drug, Wattpad is addicting. Shamefully, millions 'live the Wattpad life', whether they come to read or log on to write.

And with a great life comes great struggles- as Uncle Ben would so wisely say to Peter.

And these struggles come to a person's soul whether he or she be a writer or a reader. Or, you know, both. That's good too. He or she could be reader/writer like me who insults movie directors because I'm bitter about Han Solo's death, Kylo Ren's baby temper tantrum's and Ben Solo who as a person is an insult to all good villains, and the fact Luke Skywalker was in the freaking movie for THIRTY FRIGGING SECONDS, and-

You know what? I'm just going to continue on with the chapter.

Since everyone struggles with Wattpad more than once in their Wattpad life, I figured people would want to read about the life they live. That's what we do on the internet anyway, we just read and watch stuff that we can relate to.

I mean, I spend hours watching different versions of 'the struggles of having bad acne' on YouTube and sulk in self pity. That stuff is the truth, man.

Also I spend hours watching Buzzfeed's Unsold Mysteries, since that's more addictive than crack- but again, moving on.

I, being the female Clark Kent I am(or Kara Denvers but who gives a flip), decided to put a ton of useless rants and struggles into this book that has an attractive meme character on it's cover. If there's a meme, people will come.

Meme is the new English, darling, it's the new now.

Anyway, I'll end this chapter/intro here since if I go on any longer I might make this entire thing even more awkward.

Until the next chapter- goodbye, Jack, I'll never let go.
