The Masquerade Trio 2: The Elemental Bearers

Part 24: OPERATION: Mega Buster: Part 2

Lux followed Jim after he traveled first. The two arrived at the future were countless Reploid parts were scattered. "What is this place?" Lux asked. "The remains of the so called Elf wars." Jim answered. "Elf wars? You mean fairies battled here?" Lux asked him. "No. Cyber-elves." Jim answered. "Who or what are they?" Lux asked again. "Good question, Lux. Cyber-elves are self-aware, which means they can think, feel and communicate." Jim said. 

"However, Cyber-elves are better known for their ability to support a Reploid in combat with their special abilities. Ciel was the only human who can talk to them." he added. "Guess I have a lot to learn." Lux sighed. Lux looked up and saw that the sun was setting. "It's already night from here and no sign of Reploids everywhere." Lux said. "What's worse, Mavericks might showed up. We need to find a place to stay and hide from them." Jim suggested.

"But where?" Lux asked. Jim then looked around the area and saw a cave a few meters in front of them. "Lux, I think we can stay there for a while." Jim said as he points his hand towards the cave. As the two went towards the cave, the radar picked up a signal. "Jim, there's a signal of some sort. A Reploid is living on that cave." Lux said. "Can you pinpoint it's location?" Jim asked.

Jim and Lux went inside the cave and explored it. They only found a dead a few meters from the entrance to inside the cave. "That's odd." Lux said. "The signal came though this wall." Lux said. But the two run out of time and the area begins to blacken. "It's already night. We might figure this one out tomorrow." Jim said. "Okay. We'll camp here then. At least we're safe from Mavericks, right?" Lux said.

"Yes. Mavericks won't attack campers, especially unarmed ones." Jim answered and prepared the tent. Being a male, he then lights a campfire in order for Lux to cook their dinner. "Dinner's ready!" Lux called Jim who was patrolling the area using his Perfect Kyurem Form. "You eat first. I'll  catch up later." Jim said and continues to patrol. After seeing that their area is safe, Jim returned back to the cave where his dinner was cooled down.

"Lux..." Jim said and eats his dinner. After he finished his dinner, Jim went outside the cave to patrol one more time and returns back. "This will hold them off and for safety measures." Jim said and uses Ice Beam at the cave's entrance which blocks the outsiders to get inside the cave. Jim reverts back to human form after that and went inside the tent.

(Warning! Jim will be embarrassed!)

What he saw was Lux wearing a white bikini. She's about to wear her night gown when Jim saw her. "Aggghh! Sorry Lux!" Jim said and immediately went outside with his face sweating. Lux giggled at him after he saw her. "Sorry, Jim." Lux said and laughs a little. Afterwards, Lux called him, telling that she's finished dressing up. "Sorry if I went inside without permission." Jim said. "That's alright." Lux said. "We need to rest for tomorrow." she added and went to sleep.

Jim went on the other side of the bed and went to sleep. "Goodnight, Jim." Lux said. "Good night, Lux." Jim replied and turned the lamp off. The next day, Jim and Lux were ready and packed their things. "This was no dead end, Lux." Jim said as he knocks at the wall. "It's really hollow if we knocked at it." Lux said. Jim then unsheathe his two swords and fuses them.

"Ready, Lux?" Jim asked. "Absolutely!" Lux answered. "Ryujin no ikari (Dragon's Fury)!/Mystic Spiral!" Jim and Lux said. To their surprise, their Ultimates combined forming a giant blade of dragon and fairy which breaks and crumbled the wall into pieces. "What was that?" Lux asked as she returned back to her Light Form. "I don't know. But it looks like our powers were in sync to each other." Jim said.

"Let's go." Jim said as he picks his radar. "Coming." Lux said and followed him. While walking, Jim stepped on a cracked floor and fell on three floors which makes Lux cringe three times. "Oww." Jim said. Lux laughed a little and rides her staff. "You should watch yourself sometimes." she said. "Sorry, Lux." Jim replied. "Looks like the signal's getting close though. Let's go." Lux helped him up.

The arrived at yet another dead end, but this time, it's a solid metal wall with a faded name "Zero" on it. "Zero?" Lux asked. "A Legendary reploid. If the signal is true, then Zero is waiting for us on the other side." Jim said and slices the door open. He went inside first and called Lux to come in when Lux saw a familiar symbol "Ω" between the words "Zero" making Lux to felt something bad might happen. "Jim, we need to get out of here. NOW!" Lux said.

Jim then quickly realized that it wasn't Zero he saw just now. With a piercing red eyes, Omega dashes at Jim's location only that Jim was able to dodge his attack. "Too late, Lux! I need help here!" Jim called out to Lux. "Coming, Jim!" Lux said and uses her Lucent Singularity at Omega Zero. "We only have to capture him, not to destroy him." Jim said. "I know. Well then, I guess we should paralyze him instead." Lux said and changes to Storm Form.

"Paralyze him will be a good idea, Lux." Jim said and changes into Black Kyurem Form. The three clashed and Zero got the upper hand despite of being alone because of his Rekkoha who repairs him and is invulnerable. He manages to deliver a massive punch at Lux. Unable to get up, Lux told Jim not to worry and carry the mission while she heals herself. Enraged, the Black Kyurem returned an even double damaging punch at Omega Zero and he sends him crashing three walls of rocks.

The rocks then collapsed on top of Omega Zero. As Omega Zero got up, Jim uses Fusion Bolt but failed becuase Omega Zero uses his Rekkoha once more. But after that, Lux ensnared him using Light Binding. "Any plans?" Lux asked Jim. "Darn it! This guy won't give up. But his Rekkoha has a weakness. That's our opportune time to bring him down." Jim replied.

"Got it." Lux said. The Jim and Lux kept attacking Omega Zero until the three were exhausted. Omega Zero then uses his Rekkoha and attacks the two. "NOW LUX!" Jim signaled. Lux then ensnared Omega Zero and the two uses their ults. "Fusion Bolt!/Lightning Bolt!" Jim and Lux said. And to their surprise once more, their powers combined, forming a gigantic thunder dragon that "devours" Omega Zero and paralyzes him completely.

Jim then dashes towards Omega Zero and injects the vaccine down to his system, erasing both the virus and data except Omega Zero's battle data. "At least we got ourselves a Reploid, Lux." Jim smiled. "Yeah. But at least I battled once more. It's been years too." Lux panted. The two returned back to the surface and summoned Dialga once more. "Thanks, Dialga." Jim and Lux said as Dialga created the portal which leads back to their time.
