The Third Bennett

Chapter 40

"Step away from the girl." I hear a voice over an intercom. I ignore the voice and I continue to drink.

"Stop!" I hear fear in their voice and I drop the girl to the ground. I look at her dead body. I look at the door and I try to open it. It doesn't open in so I kick it and flies off. I walk out and I hear footsteps. I run off using vamp speed. I stand at the Decade Dance. Everyone thought I was gone so long because of turning so I saw no point in worrying them. I see Damon with the others and I follow them.

"Alaric hasn't been taking the herbs and I have no idea where he is." we all exchange a look.

"What do we do?" Elena asks.

"Maybe we should kill him." I give Damon a look of disbelief.

"No!" we turn around to see Jeremy. He shakes his head and walks out with Elena following. A few minutes later Jeremy rushes back in.

"Esther has Elena." we all rush outside and we try to run out but we can't. Esther trapped as at the school. I sit by Bonnie as she tries to undo the spell. Everyone comes in and Klaus threatens to kill Jamie if she doesn't hurry up.

"She won't help of you do that." I say. Klaus drops him.

"Then what do you suggest."

"Give her time." I mumble.

"Such a great plan."

"Go to hell Klaus."

I stand outside. I was alone and I was thinking of the girl I had killed I sigh. "The spell is broken you can go." I look at Bonnie.

"I'm sorry. I know you can't forgive me. I just want you to know I'm sorry." she nods and I leave.

I walk into the tomb Alaric was in. He wasn't going to finish the transition. I knelt down to him and I sigh. "Life is funny..." he mumbles. "One minute you're the guardian of two teenagers the next a witch wants to turn you into an original vampire." I let a small chuckle out. I sigh and I look at him sadly.

"I know how you feel." he sighs. "I'll miss you Alaric."

"Miss you. You're my favorite hybrid." I laugh slightly and I give him one last hug. He hugs back and I let go. I pull away and I walk out.

The next day was the full moon and I was leaving. "Maybe I should stay." I mumble.

"No. Go. Don't stay in this depressing town." Damon smiles me. I sigh.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow." he smiles.

"Bye." I wave at him and I get in my car driving to the farm. I get out of my car and I wave slightly at Haley.

"Hey Caitlin."

"Hey."I mumble.

"You alright?"

"Just happy to be away from Mystic Falls for the day." she smiles and nods.

"Come on. Everyone has been waiting for you." I chuckle slightly and I follow her to the others.
