I stand outside on the phone with Lana, while drinking some Bourbon. "Will you relax? I'm fine! I'm my usual living, breathing, hybrid self!"
"You just came back from the dead. You can't be fine. Plus, you hate being a hybrid."
"Good point. But unless you have a witch that can turn me human--"
"I might." That makes me cough up the bourbon I was drinking. "Are you okay? Did someone Poison your drink with vervain or wolfsbane???"
"Lana! You just told me you just might have a witch that can make me human! Coughing up bourbon is a normal reaction. Now back to the might..."
"I have to find him and convince him. But if I do that, yeah, you can be human without the cure."
"W-wow. Just, uh, wow."
"Yeah, but you can't tell anyone. If words get out everyone is going to be looking for him. And my only concern is you."
"Okay, okay. I can keep a secret, you know this."
"Okay, I'll call you later. Don't die."
I roll my eyes. "I won't." I hang up and sigh. A few minutes later Elena, Damon, and Stefan walk out and we head to the cemetery.
While walking through the cemetery I see a tombstone labelled "Honoria Fell". Stefan sees it too. "What kind of name is "Honoria Fell"?"
"Shh. You're kind of the one that killed her.'' Damon says.
"Oh."
We all walk into the Salvatore mausoleum. Right when I step inside my phone vibrates. I look down at it to see it's from Lana.
I think I found him, but I need some help.
"What is it?" Damon asks.
"Lana. She thinks she has a way to protect my from dying again. She wants to talk."
"We can do this alone." Elena says. I nod and walks off.
I walk into the apartment Klaus was staying in when we first found out about him. When I was turned. "You know, I think it's kinda ironic we're at the place where I was when I turned into a killer--'" I open the door to see Lana and a man.
"Caitlin! Great, you're here. So we have a slight problem."
"Joy. What is it?"
"Well, Josh, the man that is willing to die for you, has everything but one small thing."
"Lana, spit it out."
"We may or may not need a human heart."
"How hard is it to get a human heart?"
"It can't be any human heart...it has to be of someone who is related to you."
"Like my mother."
"Who you buried. And no one knows where she's buried... But you."
"Okay, she's buried on that big hill outside of town. The one with that one tree on it."
"Why there?"
I shrug. "It's peaceful..."
Lana nods. "Okay, wait here--"
She's interrupted by my phone ringing. I see it's Damon and I look at Lana. "Go I'll stay." She nods and leaves. I answer. "Is something wrong?"
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"You gotta be more specific."
"You're hiding more than the fact that Bonnie's dead?"
I sigh. "Damon--"
"Get to the house. We need to talk.''
"I can't."
"Why the hell not?"
"Because Lana found a witch that's willing to die just to make me human."
"What?"
"I'll talk to you later." I hang up and sigh.
"You hang out with vampires?" I look at the man.
"You're not one to judge, are you?" He just shrugs and looks away. I sigh.
