Logan's POV:

In my life i was raised to believe that the foundation of a long lasting relationship is the pinky swear. Rory, and I made some promises to each other that i know we'll keep as it is the only thing that makes sense. I glance over at Rory, and notice that she is asleep once again. Whatever pain killers the doctor has her on are working well considering Rory has been sleeping off, and on for the past three days. My phone starts to ring, and I see that Finn was calling me with good news I hope. "Hello?" I answer hoping to not wake up Ace. "Logan mate! Ryan has decided to invest in our company!" Finn says to me. "Holy fucking shit! Are you kidding me!?" I say louder then planned. "Why would I kid about this mate! I am flying back to Paris tomorrow morning so we can sign the contracts, and of course our attorneys are coming along to make sure Ryan isn't fucking us over. So don't leave France Logan!" He says to me. "I am not planning on leaving anytime soon to begin with." I say to him. "Well good! I hope Rory is doing well, and when I return I hope to see her." Finn says to me. "Call me with your flight information, and where you are staying." I say to him. "You bet. Talk to you later." Finn says then hangs up.

Holy shit! I can honestly say I had doubts Ryan would want to invest in this new company, but the fact that it all came together has me completely stunned. I decide to send my sister a quick text because she is the only person I knew who would be excited.

Logan: Honor! Ryan decided to invest in mine, and Finn's company!

I hit send, and look over at Rory who by some miracle was still asleep. My phone rings, and I see that my sister responded.

Honor: Hell yes! Congrats to you, and Finn! If I wasn't in the middle of napping I would hug you, but I'll give you one tomorrow! Proud of you baby brother.

Honor's text makes me chuckle, and smile. "Logan." I hear someone say, and I glance up to see Lorelai in the doorway. "Hey," I whisper. "How long has she been asleep?" She asks me. "About an hour or so." I answer her. Lorelai nods, and brings the chair over to side of the bed. "The jet lag has been kicking my ass, but hopefully I'll be able to stay here longer so you can sleep." Lorelai says to me. "I promised Rory I wasn't going to leave her side." I say to her. "Well some promises are meant to be broken. I don't think you've slept since I've been here." She says to me. "I'd rather be here with her then anywhere else." I say. We stop talking after I say that, and we sit in a tense silence. "This big shot investor decided to invest in mine, and Finn's company today." I say to Lorelai to break the silence as the tension was getting overwhelming, "Congratulations Logan." Lorelai says. "Thanks. I am still that guy who takes risks, and I will never stop being that guy. But by some miracle your daughter loves that about me." I say to her. "As long as you don't gamble my daughter away then we won't have an issue." She says to me. "I wouldn't dare do that." I say Lorelai. She just smiles at me, and nods.

"Logan." Rory grumbles softly next to me. "Hey baby. Your mom is here too." I say to her. "Hey mom. How long have I been asleep?" She asks us both. "According to Logan about an hour. Damn those pain killers are doing something right." Lorelai says while sitting at the foot of the bed. "No shit." Rory grumbles. "I was talking to Luke earlier, and he is sending well wishes." Lorelai says. "That is overly sweet. Knowing Luke he is probably wondering how I managed to get hit by a cab." Rory says laying her head on my shoulder. "Obviously." Lorelai says. My phone starts to ring, and I see that it is my father. "I need to take this call, but I'll be right back." I say, and get out of the bed. "Hello?" I say answering the phone. "Logan it's your father. Why are you still in Paris?" He asks me. "I have a personal reason why I am still in France, and it doesn't concern you." I answer him pacing the hall. Just talking to my father is giving me major anxiety which can easily be avoided if the man didn't have my phone number. "Well I heard from someone that you, and Finn had a meeting with Ryan. I hope you blew you him away, and didn't waste his time like usual." My father says. I internally grown, and try to keep my anger under control. "Yes we met with Ryan, and everything went smoothly. We haven't heard from him yet, but we have a good feeling." I explain. There was not a chance in hell I was telling my dad about the investment; because it just wasn't any of his business. "Well that is great to hear son." He says in a less than condescending tone. "Look dad I have to go, but I'll call you soon." I say to him. "Alright. Goodbye son." He says then hangs up.

You get to a point in your life where you stop looking for your parents approval, and start to find the approval within yourself. The only persons approval I needed was Rory's, and by a stroke of luck she loves me even with the flaws, and stupid decisions. Walking back into her hospital room; Rory looks at me, and her eyes light up. I have never met an angel in person, but she was perfect. For years I didn't know if I would ever feel complete again, but at this very moment I knew we both worthy.
