You and Peggy head out boys stare at the two of you, you both ignore this. Soon you guys arrive at "the spot" you and your sisters have never brought Peggy here before because when you were little (back when Peggy was just born) you all made a promise to never let her come here, but now you were older and it was time. You and Peggy head into the tree "house" it was just a tree with 2 chunks of wood in between 2 branches, you climbed up, Angelica gives you a look when Peggy climbed into view
"What is Peggy doing here," she says in a tone that you can tell she is slightly mad but trying not to sound that way
"She, no, we need to talk to you guys" you quickly report
"Alright go," Eliza says sitting you guys down
"Ok..." You tell them the plan the girls look at you like you just gave up the boy you like to another girl (ayyyeeeee I had tooooo)
"But what about..." She begins but you interrupt
"Enough about me, I don't want to go if Peggy is unhappy," you say
"Y/n listen, this could easily be your last ball Peggy can wait don't you think" Eliza adds you haven't really thought about it, but it was true, you were going off to help in the revolution after the ball it was risky but you wanted to help, you had complete permission and your family's blessing to do this, you thought back to when you were excepted in, you had written 10 letters of reasons on why you should join to the general.
Flashback
You woke up early and made breakfast when there was a knock at the door, you went to it and opened it,
"Hello is this the Schuyler residence?" A man asked
"Yes"
"Can you get y/n for me we have important news"
"I'm y/n"
"Oh well, we are happy to tell you, that have been excepted into the army!"
"Wow ok thanks"
"Here are the times of everything date you leave stuff like that" he handed you a letter
"Thank you," you say as he leaves, you turn to see your whole family smiling on the steps, you walk over tears stream your face of both happiness and sadness
Flashback over
You stare at your sisters
"If I go Peggy's coming," you say
"Let's go beg father," Eliza says getting up you guys agree and leave for home.
*in Tomas Jefferson voice* Whattt! Are you going to the army? Will Peggy get to go? Will you meet an Alex?- OK the answer to that one is yes in at least one of the next 3 chapters
