Chapter Twelve

We arrived at school with 10 minutes to spare and people were staring at the car as we drove past. I don't really see what the big deal is because there are many expensive cars around here and the roof of the car was up as well as the windows. Guess we looked mysterious and people just love mysteries. "I have no idea why you wanted to drive Adrian's car to school when you have your own." Leah said next to me looking a bit uncomfortable.

It finally came back to me that I did have a car. "Huh, must have slipped my mind. Anyway, we'll make a bigger entrance. I didn't pick these outfits for nothing." It's true, while I did my unlimited but limited shopping with Adrian I bought two dresses that we could wear but even though they were the same cut they were different colours.

"This is so not gonna work." Leah said quietly.

"Of course it is! We look totally amazing and it's the last day before the trip. Come on, please! Just this once be fearless for five minutes, and then if you want you can change later but I'll be sad if you do." I said knowing that she really doesn’t like it if I'm sad. Playing that card has got us into some really weird situations but those memories will always be remembered for a long time.

It took a minute but Leah finally gave in. "Fine!" she shouted throwing her arms up in defeat. I laughed at her and she just shook her head. "Great! There’s no turning back now."

Finally, I found my usual place to park and the crowd grew to see who people were in the awesome car. Turning the music off, we grabbed our bags, took a deep breath and got out our safe haven. Gasps could be heard all around and the crowd went wild. Comments by guys were unmentionable and the comments by the girls were all out of jealousy.

"What sluts."

"They're just looking for attention."

"Who are they? I bet they're looking for one nighters."

All those comments did nothing to us. We just carried on walking to our lockers and got our things for our first three periods. Just as we closed our locker we heard low whistles. We turned and saw Jake and Derek looking at us with wide eyes although Derek's eyes were completely black. Snap! He’s excited. I also saw the possessive look in his eyes. I turned my head to look at Leah to see how she was doing and she just stood there with wide eyes staring at him. Guess he did look hot today in his black jeans, blue shirt, black chucks. But for her, because they’re mates, he looks a lot more than "hot".

I rolled my eyes. "Oh for goodness sakes, kiss him!" I said and shoved her towards him. As soon as they touched things got heated. I made a gagging sound and motioned for Jake to join me.

"I say we leave the public disturbance and head to first period. You can talk about my outfit which will take our minds off this display of hormones." I said to Jake and he nodded fast. He grabbed my hand and we walked off.

"So... what exactly were you thinking when you decided to wear this, then make Leah wear the same thing?" he asked and I shrugged.

"I was thinking that it would be fun since it's the last day of school for this term and so it would be cool to make it one to remember. I think it's working." Jake just shook his head,

"You are one abnormal sister but I still love you."

"Aw, I love you too, big bro." I hugged him and a thought crossed my mind. "By the way...How are the guys. Derek still isn't exactly off the hook." We both laughed at this and walked into class to our usual seats.

"Well... I can officially say that you scared the hell out of everyone this morning and Adrian just thinks it's really hot the way you scared everyone." he laughed again. "When he saw you this morning kick down his bedroom door in that dress, which I'm gonna talk about now, and throw those knives... Well, let's just say that he won't be thinking with his actual head anytime soon when he sees you."

I smiled at his words. Sweet. "So what about our outfits?"

"Right. Back to that. It's...Really something. Low cut, black, short, platforms. Really making all these males at this school awkward. They have to stand differently so that people don't notice that their little ones are making an appearance." I burst out laughing at that and the bell rang. What Leah and I were wearing were black and blue, low cut V dresses with little jewellery and either silver or red platforms with studs on them. Our hair was down in waves and we had no make up on besides cherry lip gloss, eye-liner and mascara. Derek and Leah walked in hand in hand and it was so blatantly obvious what they had been doing to everyone that was in the room. "Looks like you two calmed down." Jake said and I shook my head.

"I doubt it. This stays heated for how long they live." I said and their faces flushed. "What? I actually paid attention to all of our classes you know. I also read all of the books which you gave me. I know everything there is to know about wolves. Actually, it’s easy to remember. Time for class. Sit your asses down." They obeyed and the teacher walked in. That's how the rest of the day went: listening to boring teachers talk but having fun whenever we could. It felt like the day had flown by when the final bell rang.

"Yes!" Derek shouted in the halls.

"We are finally free!" Jake added and the halls erupted into cheers and screams.

"Okay then." I said.

"Time to head home and pack for the camp. I can't wait." Leah said. We walked out the door and a sudden urge to see Adrian hit me. I kind of missed him today though I didn't know why. But I still pressed to get home. "Come on! I need to get home and pack every single thing that could fit any situation that could possibly happen on this camp. I know there's always a ball thingy so I need to choose an outfit and we still need to pack the food for the camp. Let’s go people!!" I shouted and everybody moved.

*3 HOURS LATER*

Everybody was at our house ready to do whatever needed to be done. Leah and I had laid out all we needed for the camp and told the boys to pack it in our bags (in a very specific way and also meaning that Jake, Derek, Adrian and his friends would be packing our things and packing them in the cars while Leah and I prepared the food. We were laughing and joking around while we worked to music that blasted through the speakers.

*4 HOURS LATER*

It was getting late and we were finally ready to leave. Everyone was excited and I was even more stoked that Adrian's friends were coming along too. It was me, Adrian, Derek and Leah in one car while Jake, Kyle, Grant and Justin were in the other.

"Okay! Let’s roll!" Adrian screamed and we were off. Us leading the way.

This is gonna be fun.
