"Avita." Someone called as they shook me awake. I moaned and rolled over. "Come on, you've got to wake up." I flung out my hands and knocked something. "Ow! Dammit, Avita, that was my nose." The person grunted and I heard as they shuffled away from me.

Serves you right, I thought and slowly sat up. My hair was a mess and fell over my face. "Yikes! Now I see why girls spend so much time in the morning on their hair. It looks like crap." I recognized that voice to be Derek's. I found him sitting on the edge of Leah's bed wearing dark jeans and a bright blue top that matched Leah's eyes. I would have thought it was cute but noticed that he was rubbing his nose so I ditched that thought as payback for waking me up. "You better shut up or your nose won't be the only thing you'll be rubbing tonight." I growled out and my vision tinted purple. Derek's eyes widened and his hands flew to his groin.

I remembered my vision turning purple last night when Damon had tossed those comments at me. It soon dawned on me that he was trying to get a rise out of me. And he did. That means Adrian hadn't lost his card yet and that he didn't date Damon's ex, right? Nah, he lost it long time to that other girl. The video of Leah and I catching him doing the ded came flashing in my mind. I mentally shivered and gagged. Yikes! The reaction Damon had had to my kiss just proves that he was wrong: Adrian does enjoy my kisses. I did a mental happy dance and jumped out of bed in an excited way but calmed myself down, knowing that I'm still mad at the two.

Leah came out of the bathroom wearing a bright yellow dress that I had no memory of her having. "What the hell are you wearing?" I asked her and she just stuck her tongue out at me. "I bought it when we stopped for gas. You were sleeping and I wasn't. What happened to your hair?" she replied but I just glared at Derek, daring him to comment. He stayed silent and what a good choice that was. "Did something happen while I was in the bathroom? You're giving Derek the evil eye." I just shook my head, grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom.

After a while I heard the couple leave the room and I silently thanked the big guy for that small mercy. I washed up and applied what ever I needed to. My outfit consisted of nothing other than a pink shirt, white shorts and white combat boots. I tied my hair up deciding that for the next couple of days it's going to stay up. Satisfied with what I saw I grabbed my sunglasses and headed for breakfast. Hopefully I won't see Adrian or Damon. Derek and Leah would probably be with them or alone so they would be out of the question so I opted to find the twins and sit with them. I don't know those guys who I saw yesterday so there was a very small chance that I would find them this morning. Not everybody can remember people this early in the morning. It occurred to me that neither Leah nor Derek mentioned not seeing Adrian here this morning. Thankful for that I made my way out the dorm ands down the path that lead to where breakfast was being served.

After I got to the breakfast area it dawned on me that Adrian would have woken up by now and probably be looking for me after he saw my creation. I did the only thing a girl in my situation would do: panic. My appetite completely disappeared and I scanned the crowd for him. Sighing with relief that I couldn't see him I spotted the twins sitting at a table right by the edge of the woods. Putting on my best smile I walked towards them but stopped when a delicious scent hit me. My stomach started to growl.

"Avita!" someone called and I snapped out of my haze long enough to see Alex waving at me... along with everyone else in the group. Heat settled into my cheeks and I mentally slapped myself. I must have looked like an idiot standing and sniffing the air. I waved back, "Hey, mind if I join you?" they all smiled and nodded so I sat down next to Alex. "Thanks." The scent hit me again and then I saw the food. Maybe this is what it was, I thought. "Wow, this is not normal camp food." I stated dumbstruck and everyone laughed. "Of course," a girl with blonde hair stated, "we have to live and eat here. Might as well make sure the food is great. It's also to make sure that there's no left over food after each meal." We all nodded in agreement. "Hi, I'm Kyrah. Girlfriend of this dumbass sitting next to you." She pointed at Ralph (one of the brothers) and he smiled sheepishly. I gave him a pointed look. "Nice job, bro." I said and gave him a knuckle pound. "Darn right!" Kyrah chirped back and laughed. We are going to be close friends, I thought silently. Closer than you think, a voice chirped back. I ignored and carried on smiling.
