**Message to readers,
My biggest pet peeve as a fan fiction reader is getting into a story only to realize that it is almost verbatim the script of the show, except changed to accommodate a new character. I hope that in my story you will only see where the storyline parallels what is happening in the script, but never follows exactly. I am writing this story during the Season 7-8 hiatus. I hope to have it finished prior to the premier of Season 8.
Thanks for reading!**

Daryl's POV
Rick was really happy when he told us that Ezekial had an extra doctor who was coming from the Kingdom to Alexandria to help with any folks that may be wounded fighting this piece o' shit, Negan. I knew that Rick was hoping he might convince the doctor to stay around Alexandria and Hilltop afterwards. We hadn't had a doctor in a long time and he wanted to be prepared for Maggie's baby in a few months.

They sent three of their guards along with the new doctor for protection. Rick already sent Michonne to show her around the clinic, and called for me to help show the rest to their quarters. Rick and Ezekiel planned for them to stay in Alexandria and help us against Negan. One of them looked like he might know his shit just in the way he carried himself. And he was a fucking man mountain! Dude must have been at least 6'4" and looked like a tank wouldn't stand a chance against him. He must have come in fairly recent because I didn't recall seeing him when I stayed at the Kingdom, and I would have remembered seeing a fella like him. The other two I remembered seeing around Ezekiel's crew.

"Daryl, this is Roe, Carlos, and Billy. Can you show them to the house we have ready for them? Dr. Casey will get settled in after Michonne shows her the clinic."

I grunted and nodded my head. I lead them two blocks over to the two bedroom house we had readied for their group. Carlos and Billy were glad they were getting a home. They thought they would be living in a barracks. Roe didn't say much, but smiled at their enthusiasm. I talked to them about assignments and schedules. I told them they would begin training with the rest of the group this afternoon.

Delilah's POV
Michonne walked with me to the clinic. My seven month-old daughter was sleeping in the sling on my back. Michonne smiled at her.

"Does she always sleep so well?"

I suppressed a giggle. "Only when she's not hungry. She's pretty good about sleepin' when I wear her in the sling, but I have some trouble gettin' her to sleep in a crib. I'm pretty lucky that she's been such a happy, content baby so far. She was born before we reached the Kingdom, and I was really afraid of her attractin' walkers on the road."

She nodded and I asked, "Do you have kids?"

For a brief second there was a sadness in her eyes, and then it was gone, replaced by a happy twinkle.

"Yes, Rick and I have two kids. Carl, you probably saw at the front gate with Rick, and then there's our baby girl Judith."

My smile grew. "Yay! A playmate for Mercy."

Michonne glanced at the baby again. "Such a sweet name for a sweet girl."

We arrived at the clinic. It was located in the middle of the Alexandria settlement. Michonne explained that this is to keep it as safe as possible, further away from the walls. It was a small house that was converted into an infirmary. Michonne explained that there used to be a doctor here, and he was responsible for part of it. I wondered what happened to him, but she didn't offer and I didn't ask. Others had filled in since then, but they had been without any medical care for a while now.

There was a small seating area just inside the front door, this opened into an office area with a desk, filing cabinets, and bookshelves full of medical textbooks.  Just off this area was an exam room set-up for basic examinations and small procedures with a couple of small cupboards with bandages and a few supplies. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't more supplies. To the side there was a small kitchen area. She walked toward a wall lined with book shelves and pressed a hidden panel on the side.
