A Black And A Weasley.

Part 31

I had managed to stay out of Umbridge's way since I had gotten out of the Hospital Wing and the twins told me that Dumbledore had gotten her off their case about the whole Great Hall incident. However we were now on our way down to DADA and I wasn't nervous just intrigued as to what could happen. " Shauna, no matter how difficult it may be, don't talk out against Umbridge. She's going to try and get a reaction out of you some how so she can get you back in detention and that won't be great considering you've just gotten out of the hospital wing." George said looking at me with worry.

" Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, I've handled things way worse than that frilly toad." The boys and Becky chuckled but they all still seemed worried. Becky had only just been introduced to the dictator that is Dolores Umbridge but her thoughts towards her were exactly the same as every other sane member of this school. I had been dragged out of Gryffindor Tower this morning to ensure that we arrived to DADA on time today so when we got into the classroom not even Umbridge herself was there. We sat around for about ten minutes chatting before people actually started coming into the lesson and another five minutes before Umbridge walked in. Her sickening smile was once again plastered on her face as watched students unpack their bags and prepare for her class. 

" It is nice to see everyone her on time, now for todays lesson I have decided that we are going to start a new thing of first talking about the developments happening in the Ministry. As we are in Defence Against the Dark Arts we'll specifically be focusing on developments in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement." She paused before continuing, " to begin there have been many reports of disappearances and someone has been labelled as responsible." There was a murmur around the class wondering who it could be, " the mass murderer Sirius Black." hushed whispers could be heard around the room. My fists tightened and my hair went fiery red. She just stood there with a twisted smile on her face, I could have exploded at any moment but then I felt a large hand encase my smaller, balled up one. I looked over to see George holding on to it affectionately. 

" We know the truth Shauna, that's all that matters right now." George leaned over and whispered in my ear. I smiled at him gratefully, as Umbridge moved on with her lesson she looked rather disgruntled.

Evening drew in and it was time for my first meeting with Dumbledore, by now everyone was in their common room or dormitories. Nervously, I knocked on Dumbledore's office door, his voice from inside called 'enter'. Pushing the door open slowly, I stepped inside his office. The room was lit with candles and Dumbledore sat at his desk with Fawkes beside him on his perch. " Miss Black, take a seat," he gestured to the seat on the opposite side of the desk to him. I sat down still not sure what to expect. Dumbledore looked at me for a moment before speaking, " Shauna you are a very talented witch, there's no doubt about that, but these extreme headaches you've been experiencing can only mean one thing. Now this is going to be very strange to take in at first so bare with me, but Miss Black you hold within you the power off all four founders of this very school." I sat there staring at Dumbledore in complete shock, I wasn't sure what to think.

" W-what does that mean exactly?" I asked,

" Well over the generations of witches and wizards the decedents of the four founders spread out however there was a prophecy that one day when they were most needed all four bloodlines would meet in one child and that child would be able to help ensure peace was restored to the wizarding world." Dumbledore concluded.

" You do realise that sounds like it came straight out of some kind of fantasy novel or a sci-fi thriller." I replied making him chuckle,

" I know how it sounds Miss Black and I can imagine it feels like quite the responsibility but we need to be able to harness and control your powers not only for the sake of the wizarding world but also because if you don't a lot more harm will come to you." I nodded along with Dumbledore,

" Lets do this then,"

Our first session was basically just telling me what were going to be doing and how I can stop the headaches from happening. " It's very important you tell no one of this Miss Black, anyone could hear and if this information ends up in the wrong hands the results could be devastating," he paused and I was about to say something but he continued, " absolutely no one Miss Black even if they can be trusted we can't risk it, that means no telling Fred or George Weasley not even your father or Remus can know Miss Black." I just nodded, " good, now I expected to see you Friday evening and we'll start working." Dumbledore smiled kindly and I left heading for Gryffindor Tower. This was definitely going to be a difficult secret to keep.

There was a few of the students of Hogwarts gathered in Hogsmeade that weekend by request of Harry, Hermione and Ron even though Harry looked like he'd much prefer to be somewhere else. The room was full of doubt towards Harry so who could blame him for wanting to leave but once he'd had a kick up the backside and given an inspiring speech he had everyone lining up to put their name down for Dumbledore's Army. I was stood behind Fred and George with Becky and she was in total awe, she hadn't met Harry in person yet and this was quite the first impression. I laughed at her as I moved to write my name, " this is the friend I was telling you about, Becky." I told the trio, I then turned back to Becky, " enjoy," I then waltzed off to the side with the twins.   

Time passed and we were running out of hope for finding a safe place to run the DA but one faithful day Neville Longbottom found the perfect place, the Room of Requirement. Just walking into that room for the first time there was an incredible atmosphere of rebellion and I loved it.
