Weeks had passed and I spent a lot of my spare time sat in the treehouse in the forest. Most of the time I just read but I also decided to take down the pictures and put them into my photo album. I soon realised that Cedric wouldn't want me to be sad forever. I spent a lot of time looking through the album, not just at the pictures of Ced and I but also the collection of photos of Fred, George and I. I always laughed at the memories we shared. I was looking over a moving picture of the three of us laughing with ice cream over our faces in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour when I heard Remus calling my name. I jumped down from the tree with the album under my arm. Once I got to the house I saw Remus stood there with a letter in his hands. "What is it Remus?"
" You remember what I told you about the Order?" He asked.
" Yeah?" I told him sceptically.
" Well we're going to the base for the Order. Pack your things up." Remus said simply before walking off into the kitchen. I stood their in confusion for a moment before deciding to just pack my stuff without questioning the air of mystery that was suddenly around my godfather. Remus hadn't told me much about the Order, only that they were conformed by Dumbledore himself to fight against Voldemort when he first started rising to power. I made sense for them to reconvene now that he was on the rise again, but why were we going?
I quickly put my possessions into my trunk and pulled it down the stairs. Remus smiled at me as I came down, it wasn't a full smile though. He looked as if he was hiding something. Remus offered me his arm and we apparated away somewhere. Once I steadied myself I looked up and saw a normal looking street. I furrowed my eyebrows and glanced over at Remus. Suddenly, the houses began to move and out between the houses came a new one. Without a word, Remus approached the door that had the number 12 bestowed upon it. " Oh, before we go in I recommended you don't say anything until we get into the kitchen. Wouldn't want to wake anything up." Remus warned me, before I could ask him what the heck he was on about he opened the door. Curiosity quickly replaced any thoughts in my mind.
George's POV:
Normally we would spend the summer at home in the Burrow however this year mum and dad brought us to the base for The Order of the Phoenix. They were both members so we got carted off with them to London. I wasn't a hundred percent sure exactly where we were going though. We were joined by Hermione. Harry was going to come, only later into the holidays. We were all told the location and went one by one into the fireplace to travel by Floo. " 12 Grimmauld Place." I spoke clearly as I threw the powder down. The familiar green flames encompassed me and I was quickly pulled through the Floo network. As I stumbled out of the fireplace someone caught me by the arm, helping me up before I fell. I looked up to thank the person but the words never made it out of my mouth. When I looked up I saw the familiar face of Sirius Black. When I just stayed still, not saying anything staring, Sirius gave me a confused face. My mind just went blank when I saw my girlfriends dad. It was a strange feeling.
" You okay there?" Sirius chuckled.
" Fred'll be fine Sirius." Mum waved dismissively as she walked into the kitchen.
" George." I groaned.
" Sorry love!" She called still walking away.
" So, you're George?" Sirius asked, hesitantly I nodded. " You and your brother are friends with Shauna, aren't you?" Sirius smiled weakly.
" Yeah... we are." I nodded smiling. I really didn't feel like being the one to tell him his daughter had a boyfriend.
" I've been told about some of the mischief you lot get up to." He told me with a proud look in his eyes. " I've always admired a good trouble maker." He smirked with a wink as he walked off. I could definitely see the similarities between him and Shauna.
The days went on and we all grew more comfortable around the house, which we learned was Sirius' old family home. We were all sat around the table for dinner one evening when Sirius began asking questions. " So, how is my daughter doing?" He asked with a strained laugh.
" Oh she is lovely, Remus raised a polite, intelligent and beautiful young lady." Mum gushed, she nudged me with a wink, " right George." I felt my face instantly heat up.
" Uh-uh I'm Fred mum." I stuttered meekly.
" No you're not Georgie." Fred grinned at me from across the table. I glared at my brother. I heard Sirius chuckle from up the table.
" I'm sure with Remus to guide her she's turned out a lot better at school work than me." He chuckled.
" Oh, she's definitely a very smart witch. That doesn't make her a teachers pet though, far from it in fact." Fred smirked.
" Quite the opposite." I said with a matching smirk. " Always causing trouble that one." I tutted.
" That's only because she's friends with them." Mum informed Sirius. Sirius laughed and laughed as we told him all the pranking stories we shared with Shauna. A proud glint was in his eye again.
" Well, she's definitely my daughter!" Sirius laughed.
" Shauna is definitely something else." I muttered without even thinking about it. Sirius looked over me sceptically whilst Fred snickered.
" I can't believe it's been so long. I've missed so much." Sirius whispered to himself after a minute of silence. His eyes glazed over with tears.
" Don't worry Sirius, you'll have plenty of time to make up for the lost time." Mum comforted him. I looked at Sirius and my mind went blank, my mind suddenly flashed with all the memories Shauna and I shared, I suddenly appreciated everyone of them so much more. Suddenly, there was a load crashing noise from the all then there was a load shouting.
" WHO'S THERE! ANOTHER BLACK RETURNS HOME!" Another Black? Shauna must be here! Sirius' eyes widen suddenly as the words were shouted. Crashing through the doors came Shauna stumbling over her own feet followed by Remus. Making an entrance, as per usual. Something clicked in my mind, I love this girl. We may only be heading into our seventh year but I believe she could be the one. It may sound crazy, but I believe it.
