" Why did you tell him that?" I asked Cedric as we walked through Hogwarts.

" What? I told him what to do, kind of."

" Why couldn't you just tell him to stick the bloody thing under the water, he didn't go up to you and give you some kind of cryptic riddle. He just told you that you were going to be facing dragons." I chuckled shaking my head at Cedric. We walked down towards the courtyard when Moody appeared in front of us.

" Ah, Mr Diggory. I trust you worked out the next task and have a plan."

" Yes, Professor Moody." Cedric nodded.

" Good, and Miss Black Dumbledore wants to see you in his office." Mad Eye grunted. I said goodbye to Cedric and walked off to Dumbledore's office. I have no idea what he could possibly want.

George's POV:

Fred and I walked up the path way calling to the students walking by 'place your bets' and such as they walked down to see the second task. I was a little worried because I hadn't seen Shauna all morning. She was probably with Cedric. Merlin, he got me riled up.

" Three lads!" I called,

" one lady!" Fred continued,

" four go down!"

" will the four come up?"

" Don't be so mean," Ginny commented as she walked past. Obviously we ignored her.

" Where the hell is Shauna?" I asked looking around, Fred shrugged his shoulders. I was beginning to get anxious. She wouldn't miss a task. Time ticked on and as I got more on edge the first person popped up. It was Cedric! As much as I disliked him I had to admit he was good. I leaned over the side to see what his 'treasure' was and I let out a little yelp and began to run down to where he was.

" What kind of noise was that?" Fred laughed from behind me. I rushed down and grabbed a towel instantly pulling it around her shaking body.

" Are you okay, love?" I asked her holding her tight.

" Yes I'm fine George," as soon as the words left her mouth I quickly kissed her.

" I got so worried when I couldn't find you." I told her looking deeply into her eyes. I kept her close by me keeping her warm. We spent the rest of the day curled up by the fire in the Gryffindor common room.

Shauna's POV:

The day after the second task started off normal. I walked down to the Great Hall with Fred and George. George had his arm secured around my waist as sat down at the table. Cedric came towards us with a copy of the daily prophet. " She's done it again!" He exclaimed passing the paper to me.

Young Shauna Black has been showing her affections else where after being fished out of the Lake by Cedric Diggory as part of the second task in the Triwizard Tournament. After being pulled out she was spotted smooching with one of the Hogwarts famous Weasley Twins! What happened between her and Cedric to cause this!? Why would she stoop this low!?

" When will this women ever get her priorities straight!" I groaned. Then I saw her walking down the corridor passed the entrance to the Great Hall. " What's she doing now!" I asked no one in particular.

" Oh, she's doing interviews with the Champions before the final task." Cedric informed me. I quickly stood up from where I was a raced after her with Fred, George and Cedric right behind me.

" Oi, Skeeter!" I shouted after her. She stopped and turned to look at me with a smirk.

" What is it Miss Black?" She asked with a sickly sweet voice.

" You need to get your facts straight! There is no love triangle of any kind going on at this school, at least not the ones you're interested in. Cedric and I have been friends since we were little kids! That's all we've ever been and all we ever will be! George and I have been together almost two years now so it really is much of a surprise that you would eventually catch us sharing the odd kiss! Now please stop interfering with our personal lives!" I shouted at her angrily. A lot of anger I had been building up towards her suddenly spilled out. Once I was finished we all turned around and walked away as if nothing happened. When we did turn around we saw everyone, including the teachers, had pilled out to watch our little demonstration. As we silently walked back into the Great Hall everyone began to clap. It was a good feeling.

Finally the last task was here. Everyone came out to show their support. Even if that did mean Draco Malfoy and his goons supported Durmstrang. We watched as each champion made their way into the maze. Hours passed as we waited for someone to return with the Triwizard Cup. Fred, George and I had resorted to planning little random prank ideas and ideas for their shop. My eyes began to grow heavy as time dragged on. A sudden burst of light came from below and I spotted the familiar red and yellow of Harry and Cedric. They had made it through together! Something wasn't right. Harry wasn't cheering. Those were tearful wails. Everyone was cheering. " Something isn't right George." I told him fearfully.

" What do you mean? " Fleur let out a scream and Dumbledore went to get Harry. I quickly ran down to Cedric.

" Ced! No!" I shouted. I tried to run down but Fred and George held me back. My body was shaking with tears. I trembled as I saw one of my oldest and one of best friends lay dead on the ground. Harry began talking about Voldemort. Everyone was silent as Harry explained to Dumbledore what had happened the best he could. More tear flooded down my face as Amos ran down to Cedric's body. His desperate cries filled the once lively space. People began moving away as Moody pulled Harry away. I crumbled to my knees in front of Cedric. He had his whole life a head of him, then it was gone in an instant. The tears wouldn't stop as I remembered all of the times we shared. The times we went around the muggle shops at home. Our days of playing Quidditch in the fields. The times we tried to play with muggle children and hardly understood anything they talking about for a while. Our tree house Amos and Remus helped build for us in the forest. We went there all the time. We kept our favourite books there, posters of bands and Quidditch teams and loads of moving pictures of us. I would never be able to have fun with Cedric ever again. Amos embraced me in a hug as we both cried hysterically. There will always be a hole in my heart without Cedric.

As Dumbledore gave his speech commemorating Cedric I couldn't keep my mind straight. Silent tears kept trickling down my face. George held onto my hand and offered me a sympathetic smile. Weakly, I returned it. On that day I made a promise. Cedric Diggory, I'll never forget you.
