I woke up the next day in bliss. I was wrapped in a comfy blanket and I didn't feel like getting up. Elizabeth was nowhere to be found.

I went downstairs to the kitchen to find a table full of delicious breakfast for two. I felt a kiss on my collarbone and two arms wrapped around me.

"How was your sleep?" Elizabeth asked.

"Pretty good." I turned around to face her and she kissed me passionately. We got into a hot make out session when we heard someone clear their throat. I heard Elizabeth growl and tightened her hold on me.

"Well it's quite early for that." I heard Deyana say.

"It's never early for something like this, Deyana. What are you doing here?" Elizabeth growled again and made me sat down and handed me my coffee.

"Is that how you treat your sister, Elizabeth?" She laughed without humor.

"Tell me why exactly are you here, Deyana?"

"Victoria's back. She wants to see you." I felt Elizabeth stiffen. Deyana looked at me but her gaze was on the place where Elizabeth marked me. "You marked her? Elizabeth what are you thinking? Victoria will have her head in a plate if she finds out about this. You're being so stupid Elizabeth." I looked at Elizabeth. She didn't even bother gazing at me.

"Keep her out of this, Deyana."

"You're telling me to keep her out of this when you were the one who marked her when you're already tied to someone else so don't fucking tell me to keep her out of this when you are the one who dragged her to her own death." Deyana was in front of Elizabeth in a blink of an eye and if only looks could kill Elizabeth would be dead by now.

"I'm going back. Stay here with her. Don't let anything happen to her. If anything happens to her I will not hesitate to kill you even if you're my sister. Understand?" Elizabeth threatened and Deyana just rolled her eyes.

"What is Deyana talking about?" I asked Elizabeth. Her gaze softened and she turned to me.

"I have to go back for a few days, my love. I need you to stay here with Deyana. I promise I'll be back. I just have some business to take care of. Go back to our room." She ordered. Deyana scoffed and Elizabeth glared at her. I got out of Elizabeth's hold and ran outside.

Deyana's POV

"Why would you do that Elizabeth? Now look what you've done." My sister is probably the dumbest vampire right now. My heart broke for Kate. As if I have a heart. "If she's special to you, you need to protect her but what you've did you just got her a death wish."

"I don't know what came over me, Deyana. She makes me feel complete." I sighed. Here we go again.

"That's the same thing you said about Victoria, my dear sister. You can't just hurt Kate like this." She looked down.

"I can never hurt her. I will never do that. She means so much to me." Bullshit.

"What about Victoria?"

"I don't know anymore. She left me for that stupid disgusting 'lover' of hers." She growled again.

"Go back and talk things through with her. I'll protect Kate from Victoria don't worry." I told her sincerely.

"Make sure of that Deyana." And with that, she left. I scoffed. She didn't even bother saying goodbye to Kate. I sigh and looked for Kate.

I found her sitting by the beach and looked so lost in her thoughts. She looks so peaceful and so beautiful. Oh my Kate, I will do anything to protect you.

"Kate" I snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked at me.

"Where's Elizabeth?" She asked.

"She left already." I could see the hurt in her eyes.

"Without even saying goodbye to me." She mumbled and continued looking at the ocean.

"Can I join you?" I heard a soft hmm coming from her. Nobody said a word. "I think we should go back to the beach house now." I stood up and offered my hand to her. She took it and went on our way back to the beach house.

When we got back I remembered she hasn't eaten anything yet. I asked her if she wants something to eat but all she replied was, "I'm not hungry." Elizabeth you stupid hag what have you done to her now. Kate needed space and I gave her that.

Night came and she hasn't came out of her room. I decided to check on her. I could hear her sobbing and my chest clenched at the thought of her crying.

"Kate, it's me. Can I come in?" I didn't hear any answer so I came in. What? It's how I roll. She was lying in her bed with her back facing me. "Kate, hey. It's gonna be okay. I'll protect you." She turned to face me and it hurt me to see tears in her eyes. "Come here." I put my arms around her in a comforting way. She continued sobbing. "Don't cry, little kitten." I held her chin up and wiped her tears. "I'll cook you something. Come on. You must be hungry already."

We went downstairs and I cooked my specialty for her. No one deserves to feel this way. Especially Kate.
