Chapter 1

LAST TIME ON TAPQUEEN101'S BOOK SERIES

Keefe:

I stared at the screen. I was in awe, they were going to be fine, Biana was going to be fine.

Sophie was-NO!

NONONONONONONNONONONONONONONONONONO!!!! Why doesn't she ever listen to me?

I started crying, I knew what she was going to do. I knew it as she shoved the pathfinder through the beam. I knew it as the rose up into the atmosphere. I knew it as she created the void.

And I was hysterical when the barrier burst.

Sophie:

I was in the void, concentrating only on Keefe's face. His smile, the mischievous twinkle in his eye, the blonde hair always messy. I concentrated on his strong arms, his bravery, and the way he made me feel.

The void was closing, about to take me there when I heard the blast. I broke my concentration when I looked behind me.

The barrier broke, sending debris everywhere.

The void was shutting down, but I regained my concentration on Keefe's face.

Nothing was going to keep me from saving him, nothing.

Biana

37 Days Later

I woke up with a yawn and it all came flooding back. The sharp pain in my hand, and--and I started crying.

"BIANA! BIANA! Biana-are you okay?" Fitz asked as he ran into my room as fast as he could.

His hair was wilder, his hands were running through it, he also looked tired. I didn't say anything and he sat down next to my on my bed, placing his arm around me. I curled up into him and cried.

I cried for Sophie, Keefe, and-and my hand.

~~~37 days before

Keefe

I saw the void fail to close around her, but she looked back. She saw the barrier breaking, yet she didn't do anything.

"SOPHIE NO! RUN SOPHIE! GET OUT OF THERE!" I screamed, not realizing she couldn't hear me or that my voice was hoarse.

She was still turned around, she never saw the trees or the glass blast towards her. She never knew the void didn't close in time.

She didn't know it until it slammed her through.

"SOPHIE!" I cried jerking in my chair.

I probably screamed some more, or maybe I sat there in silence. I don't know, all I know is she's gone.

Linh

Tam, Dex, and I saw Havenfield. All of the adults were yelling in each others faces.

"HEY! BIANA NEEDS YOUR HELP!" Tam shouted angrily.

All of the adults snapped their heads over to where we were, and were yelling as they ran to us.

Della told them all to-well I'm not going to repeat, but it was along the lines of shut up.

"Where's Biana? What happened?" Della asked frantically.

"We were running away with Tam because Keefe wasn't at the base, when a pyrokenetic launched a fire ball, it hit Biana. I tried to put it out, but it was Everblaze. Fitz and Biana are at Ever-"

Della's face was pail as she ran, crying the whole way, chanting my baby the whole time. Alden followed her.

Edaline was hailing Elwin and other people.

Grady grabbed my shoulders, "Sophie? Where's Sophie?" He yelled frantically.

"Sophie's right-" I trailed off as I looked behind us.

"No. Nononononononono!" I chanted running around.

"What no? Where's Sophie?" Grady yelled angrily.

"She was supposed to enter with us!" I shouted. 

"I know where she is, and you aren't going to like it," Dex whispered.

We all looked at him.

"You remember how she was talking about how Tam got missing? How she was thinking about Keefe? Well who's to say she didn't open up a void, jump in, and travel to wherever Keefe is. That's why she isn't with us, that's why we can't fins her," Dex whispered.

Grady's face palled and Edaline stopped talking on the phone.

Suddenly Dex's parents and the triplets were hugging him to death.

"What were you all thinking? You never should've done this!" Dex's parents scolded.

Tam and I stood awkwardly off to the side. Grady and Edaline were frozen, but then Grady stalked forward.

"I'm calling the council!"

"No Grady! This isn't about them!" Edaline said quickly.

"Yes it is! It isn't fair my daughter is missing because she was doing their job! It's not fair Biana's injured because she was doing their job, it's not Keefe's fault he was captured when he was doing their job! This whole situation is their fault and they know it!" Grady huffed stalking away to hail them.

"Tam and I should go," I said quietly, but no one was paying any attention. So I lead him away to the leap master.

A/N: Next chapter will be much more interesting. In case you were confused, Biana's hand got on fire because of everblaze. Sophie tried to teleport but she got smashed by a tree, whether she's still alive is tbd ;) and if you have any questions ask!
