Biana

Fitz has been gone for several days. Mom wouldn't let me go do the surgery, because we can't find him. We can't ask the councilors for help because they are all on missions of some sort. Hopefully trying to save Sophie and Keefe.

"Biana!" I heard my mom's voice.

"Yes?" I asked walking towards my door and opening it.

"Your father and I have decided that this shouldn't wait, so we're-we're taking you to Elwin," My mother sighed, looking away from me. I could tell she was hurting, and that she was trying not to cry, but I didn't feel like comforting her.

I just couldn't keep comforting people with lies; saying I was okay, that I was fine, that it didn't matter, it doesn't hurt, that I'm used to it.

Over and over the lies are repeated, and nobody cares or notices how untrue it is. I wish someone would just ask them how many times they tried to comfort me? The answer, notta. Well, Fitz was always there until he ditched me.

I sighed and walked downstairs, I could hear my mother's sobs from her room. I ignored them and continued until I was waiting by the leapmaster.

"Hey Biana," I heard a soft voice say.

Shocked, I hid my hand behind my back.

"Dex," I said.

"I tried to see how you were doing, but your dad said it wasn't the right time, so..." he trailed off looking back up at me with a dimply grin.

I looked at my feet nervously, his dimples always made my heart skip a beat.

"So, are you okay?" Dex asked, stepping closer to me.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine," I lied, my head snapping up. I plastered on a fake smile.

"Okay, so how are you really?" Dex asked giving me a look.

"Horrible, I'm so scared," I confided, feeling the tears coming.

Dex stepped closer to me, and gave me a hug.

"It'll get better, I know how fake that sounds, but everyday it'll become more and more bearable," Dex whispered.

"It's not only that, it's the fact that my brother left and my parents are a mess," I was cut off by a sob.

"Biana, Biana look at me," Dex whispered quietly.

I looked up at him, wiping my eyes hastily, "What?"

"You are such a force to be reakon with, that you're going to be fine! And, and I uh," Dex started nervously, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

"And you what?" I asked, my heart beating faster.

"And uh, I uh, look I just-" Dex started, then he rubbed his face in frustration, "I can't believe I'm doing this, but I like you Biana. I like you a lot, and I hope your surgery goes well, and I made this for you."

He placed a metal hand in my hand. It was a shiny silver with purple metal accents. It was beautiful.

"I heard from your mom that you were thinking about going through a surgery, and I made this for you. It's probably not the exact measurements, but I-"

I cut Dex off with a hug, and I gave him a peck on his cheek.

"It's beautiful Dex, I love it!" I smiled, no longer feeling sad.

Dex started to blush, "Well um tell Elwin to make it detatchable so I can make more for you to put on and take off."

"Dex, did I ever tell you how wonderful you are?" I asked looking at him with a real smile.

"Biana, it wasn't anything really-"

I interrupted him again, "Maybe not for you, but it meant the world to me!"

"Biana! Oh, hello Dex. How are you?" My mother asked as she made her way over to us.

"I'm fine Mrs. Vacker, I was just dropping something off for Biana," Dex said staring at me the whole time.

I couldn't help but blush underneath his gaze.

"Call me Della, you've known me for long enough," My mother laughed.

Dex nodded and said goodbye, but as he was walking away he called back to me, "Remember, you are still the same strong, amazing person you were yesterday and the day before. Don't forget that."

"What was that all about?" My mom asked me as we watched Dex' retreating shadow.

"Nothing," I mumbled.

Grady

"So this is how it's going to work, we are going to need a whole team of telepaths to find Sophie's exact location, and then they're going to have Fitz enter her mind. When Fitz enters her mind he'll open up the thoughts into your head, and you're going to have to try and mesmerize Sophie's thoughts. We're praying it'll work subconsciously, and then we can find where Keefe is and get Sophie back to safety," Bronte instructed.

"How long is this going to take?" I asked looking up at him.

"We don't really know yet, but a few months," Bronte answered.

"A few months? Are you positive there's no other way?" I asked.

"Not that we know of," Bronte answered.

I let out a deep sigh.

If only we knew it'd take more then a few months.

A/N: SO who do you ship Biana with, Dex or Tam?

Also what do you think about Biana's surgery?

What do you think Dex meant when he said '"Remember, you are still the same strong, amazing person you were yesterday and the day before. Don't forget that!"'
