Alistar's POV still
I touched the cover, it was a shade of royal blue and felt like leather. And smells like a... book. Of course books smell like books, what an idiot I am. The title was printed with golden letters: Alice's Life in Wonderland.
Alice? Well, that is my mother.
I flipped through the pages, curious of its contents. The first page read:
To Matthew Adrian Hatter and Alice Victoria Wonders, their romance story will be remembered for years to come.
Romance?
I'm not a real fan of romance, but it's good to read a book.
I sat myself in a comfy armchair and began to read.
And to my own surprise, I cried.
I did not know why, I rarely cry for stories.
Just like how Queen Florence separated Alice and Hatter, it was so heartbreaking! I cried buckets...
Wait... why is it so familiar...?
The scenes, the love, the break-up...
The break-up! That's it!
She's Alice VICTORIA Wonders and he's MATTHEW Adrian Hatter.
This was my mother's story, the story she told us in the Real World. The story of Victoria and Matthew.
And it was her all along.Hours later...
Matthew Hatter's POV (The Mad Hatter)
I unlocked the door and went in, Alice trudged behind.
"Don't worry... I can deal with him if..."
"DAD!"
Alistar rushed to me and wrapped those arms around me.
"Alistar..."
"Sorry dad, I misunderstood you," he said meekly and tears could be seen at the corners of his eyes. "I love you."
Alice gasped and gave a happy sigh.
"I understand mum," he smiled and held out a book. "I read it all."
The Alice's Life in Wonderland book was in his hands. When Alice saw it, she glared a bit.
"Excuse me?" She asked and eyed at me. "Does it have to be named like that?"
"Umm...." I muttered.
"Just kidding."
We laughed and pulled into a big hug and Alistar's smile glowed as bright as ever.
