I'm in my room getting ready and I put on a black and red dress because today will basically be the funeral of my happiness, so why not wear black. I'm staring at the mirror as I put my crown on. I sigh. Well let's see what tonight has in store for me.

I walk down stairs and make my way to the dinning hall, I walked in and everybody was already there except Robin and I. As soon as I walked over to my seat I noticed Robin's seat is next to mine. Oh God, they event want us to sit next to each other. We sat there for a couple of minutes and that's when Robin finally arrived and sat down. I looked over at him and he had an annoyed look on his face, I think he know what's in store for us tonight.

"Finally we are all together as a family, so let's eat," my father says. Robin and I were talking and laughing, just trying to ease up our nerves as everyone else were in their own little world. Minutes passed by and then my father stops everyone's conversations. "Ok everyone as you all know my dear Emma will be turning 23 soon and Robin is already 25 so it is with great honor that all 4 of us have given our approval and we have given you two our blessing so you both can become one." We both sat there quietly.

"Yay, Emma will marry Robin." I over hear Robin's little sister. I couldn't help but chuckle. "You mean as in marriage?" "Of course," my mother says then chuckles. "So what is this, like an arranged marriage?" Robin asks. All of our parents nod their heads and smile. "Have we no say in the matter?" Robin and I ask at the same time. All four of them shake their heads. "This, no I can't, why do we have to get married, the law says that I can become queen even though I'm not married!" I screamed.

"Yes but we have decided you two were destined to be together and plus uniting our two kingdoms will benefit us dearly so from now on you guys are engaged," my father says. I scoff. I am beyond furious and so is Robin. "Now you two will be escorted to the drawing room and talk as an engaged couple," my father says. I shake my head.

"But father please," I say as I get up. He extends his hand. "That's final!" He screams. "I know Robin doesn't love me and I don't love him so why are you doing this to us, just for the benefit of the kingdom!?" "It's for your own good," Queen Nani says. "But all of you fell in love and married each other, we deserve that too."

My father sighs. "We can't risk it Emma," he sternly says. I scoff. "But.." "Off you go now!" He screams. Then the Knights grab a hold of us and we are rushed to the drawing room. I sit down on the couch and Robin sits next to me. "I'm sorry," I quietly say to him. He smiles and nods. "It's our parents doing, not yours."

"Do we have to get married?" I ask with a heartbreaking expression on my face. He sighs. "I guess so," he says and hands me a little black box. "What's this?" I ask. "You have to wear this from now on." I open it and it's a ring. "No, I can't," I say as I slowly close the little box. "I know," he says and looks down. He then sighs and looks back up at me.

"Look my father gave it to me right now, so you have to wear it Emma." I sigh. "Robin I can't, I just..." He nods. "I'm sorry, I know it's because you want to fall in love and be with the one that you heart longs for." I chuckle and he laughs. "I know you want to be with the woman you long for." He smiles. "Yes of course, but we have to honor our parents wishes."

"I just can't, I mean you're an awesome person and friend, I've known you since I was young but I feel like I've found the one and now this happens." I say. "Really?" I nod. "I did too, I have fallen for a princess and we actually met today at the docks," he proudly says. I gasp. "Really?" He nods. "I met a prince today at the docks and he was amazing." I say with a big smile on my face. "Really?" I nod. We both smile and then our smiles fade.

He opens the box and gets out the ring and slides it on my finger. "But I guess it doesn't matter because we have to get married," he says. I look at the ring on my finger and sigh. I lean on him and I start to cry. He hugs me and kisses my forehead, "don't worry, it's ok we will figure something out Emma." I half smile and nod. I do hope we find a way to end this horrible engagement.
