Cat! Gaster x Scientist! Reader

You recently got a pet cat from your sister. Your sister said the cat's name was 'Gaster' and that he fitted your every need. You took him home and got everything you'd need for him. Of course, your new cat ignored you for the first few days like all cats do.

You really didn't care if Gaster ignored you or not. You had a lot of work to do anyway. One day you came home feeling super stressed. You had one week to make a medicine that would ben able to cure ten diseases. Um... HELLO?! You're a scientist, not a miracle worker.

Gaster was sleeping when you sat down on the couch and screamed into a pillow. He woke up to see you now sobbing into the pillow. Gaster hopped off his scratching post and walked over to the couch. He hopped onto the cushion in front of you and meowed loudly.

You looked up before Gaster slowly crawled into your arms and nuzzled your chin. You let go of the pillow and wrapped your arms around the white and black cat. Gaster purred and kept nuzzling you to calm you down. You finally got yourself together and thanked Gaster with fish.

- months later -

Gaster started to go to work with you. Surpringly, he knew what you needed and when you needed it. Today you were writing down the formal for the chemical reaction you got when you boss stomped into the room. "Dr.(Y/n)! Is the medicine done yet?!" He asked as Gaster started to hiss.

"Not yet sir. It isn't stable yet." You replied, your boss didn't look pleased. "Stable or not. We need it. Now hand it over." "But sir! If I don't get this right, people could get killed!" Gaster started to growl and hiss more until he pounced.

You boss screamed in pain as Gaster clawed him in the face. You gasped before Gaster got off your boss and curled himself around the unstable medicine. He hissed and growled lowly. Your boff huffed and left your lab. You turned to Gaster and petted him behind the ear.

"Oh you silly kitty," Gaster started to purr at the affection, "what would I do without you?" Gaster meowed and purred before carefully walking onto your lap. You kept petting him as you thought about your boss.

Maybe he would do you a favor and fire you.
