Asylumtale x Mute! Guard! Reader

You silently sighed as you wore your uniform. You have been working with the others and yet they treat you like one of the patents. You fixed your shirt collar before looking at the mirror. You let out a breath before heading out. You saw Undyne, Mettaton, and Asgore talking.

You walked past them and got some coffee. Gaster notices your saddened state as you took a sip of coffee. "(Y/n)," you perked and turned to Gaster, "are you alright?" You slowly nodded before picking up your mug and walking away. You started to take longer sips of coffee as it cooled down.

As usual, you just made sure nobody was getting hurt and that the patents were in their cells. Around dinner, you over heard Mettaton and Undyne bad mouthing you and your mute problem. You were eating away from everyone else before you heard someone set their plate down.

"May I sit here?"

You saw Gaster and nodded. Gaster sat down and noticed you didn't eat a thing. "Are you feeling alright?" Gaster asked. You glanced away before starting to sign. Gaster whispered what you were telling him to himself.

"I."

"Heard."

"Undyne and Mettaton."

"Bad mouthing."

"Me."

Gaster perked before he growled. "I swear its like a elementary school with the staff..." Gaster muttered. He saw you nod before he smiled softly. "Just ignore them. I'm sure they were trying to be stupider than usual." You smiled and nodded before you pushed your plate away.

Gaster finished his food and walked around you before stopping behind you. He leaned down and placed his hand on your shoulder before kissing your cheek. You perked as a blush grew before Gaster walked to throw away his plate.

You stared at your plate and smiled in a love-struck way before silently snickering and pulling your plate close so you could start eating.
