I awoke with a start. My alarm clock wasn’t the only thing that had startled me…the truth was, I had dreamt of Dimitri all night. I could just about taste his presence, it was so tangible. It was as if his scent was filling the room, so I opened one of my windows to cleanse the atmosphere. I walked over to my alarm clock to shut it off after that, letting down my ponytail. I stretched and yawned, changing into a white and olive green striped swoop-neck t-shirt, chocolate brown skinny jeans, and copper leather slouch boots. I went to the bathroom to do my hair and make-up; I let all of my hair down today,  giving it a “beachy, sea breeze” style. I didn’t bother to eat breakfast, so I just brushed my teeth, gathered my things, and left for school. I figured I would be early, but I shrugged as I listened to my ipod, the walk actually quite peaceful. I was going to text Dimitri, but I refrained, since I wasn’t sure if he would be awake. I didn’t want to deal with his grouchy ass if I woke him up… Like I had predicted, I was at school before any of my friends. I went to my locker to grab my things, sitting on the floor with my back leaning against it once I was finished. I began drawing the Immortal symbol in my sketchbook, adding a bit of my own flare to it.

I also drew swirls and a few flowers in the background, tearing myself away from the piece once I sensed Dexter and Emma. They smiled at me, and I stood up, shoving the book back into my bag. “Hey!! Did you tell your mom about Dimitri?!” Emma asked, leaning on the lockers beside me. Dexter stood on her left, looking interested himself. I sighed, nodding. She grinned and squealed, clapping her hands. “So when’s dinner??!” She prompted, eyes wide. “Thursday…” I groaned, letting my head hit the top compartment of my locker. She giggled, Dexter wishing me luck even though he told me everything would be fine. We talked for a while, and I had to admit that I had missed this. Just…feeling like a regular teenager. Remi came in and we chatted until the bell rang, making us go to our separate homerooms. It seemed I was only in my homeroom for a second before the bell rang, ushering me to art class. Since I had finished my assignment earlier, Mr. Moore said I could free draw, although I spent most of class helping Dexter with his project. He asked to look at my sketchbook, and I showed him tentatively. “What’s this symbol mean? Did you make it up?” He asked, looking down at it in wonder. I shyly held up my amulet, pointing to its center.

“It…It’s a family symbol. It has to do with light and goodness,” I murmured, tracing the sun and its rays with my eyes. “Oh, that’s really neat! I like what you did to it, though. Making it a little more organic. And the background sketches are cool.” “Thanks Dexter,” I said with a smile, and he gently handed back my sketchbook. We walked to gym in a rather deep art conversation, which was sadly interrupted when we had to go to our separate locker rooms…though its not like I wanted to change in front of him… Emma (for some reason) always remembered to compliment my looks whenever we were in the locker room, telling me my hair looked like a model’s. “How is Dimitri not like…all over you?!” She asked through a snicker, and I rolled my eyes, shoving her roughly. I felt the heat rise to my cheeks, praying that they weren’t red. We continued our volley ball week in gym, winning two games today, since everyone seemed to be more organized. After gym came lunch, where I always had a good time. Everyone noticed that I hadn’t really been eating, and I quickly saved myself by saying I’d been eating big breakfasts. Remi told me my hair looked sexy, and that I was awesome during gym. The truth was, I was way better at sports now than I ever was before. My elixir made me focused, and it was so much easier to sense everyone’s movements…including the ball.

I thanked him even though I didn’t like him commenting on my appearance. On the way to chem., Emma told me she had been texting and Skyping with that boy from the shore like crazy, and I congratulated (and teased) her. She showed me a picture of him, and I had to admit that he was really good looking. As boring as chem. was, I was happy to joke around and be with Emma. I told her that we would hang out soon…maybe as just a “girl’s day”. “Hey! Maybe we can invite Kat! You guys are good friends, right?” I laughed, wondering why I hadn’t thought about it. Kat would love to go shopping…especially with me and Emma. “Yeah, I’ll totally ask her. She’d love to come with us…” “Yay!!!” Emma squealed, making the kids in front of us turn around. We rolled our eyes at them, although she laughed in embarrassment. I gave her a tight hug before heading to English, rolling my eyes when I sensed Remi with an unfamiliar girl. I nudged him with my shoulder roughly, smirking as I walked past him. The girl snorted and rolled her eyes, Remi quickly having to explain who I was and whatnot. He made it in just before the bell, narrowing his eyes at me. I smiled innocently, watching as he took a seat next to me. “What the hell, Ar?! You almost lost me a date!! Lucky for you, I am a master at persuasion…not to mention how hot I am…” I gagged, deciding not to answer once Mr. Bowen started talking.
