The Barons were prepared to have an amazing ball for their friends and competitors. Enough animals had been slaughtered and barbecued for the purpose, and the cooking staff had dine an amazing job, as always.
Harold and Malik were dressed in their very best clothes and they looked almost like the guests. the only difference between them and the guests was the domineering attitude they had towards the other slaves.
Peet and Nina were together, him serving drinks, her going around with little bites that people would grab occassionally. Vasheronne was wearing her new uniform, along with Nina and the other maids. They all had clean skin and they had their hairs up in ponytails. Amongst them all, the only person Luke had eyes for was Vasheronne.
"Welcome," Sir Baron said to every guest as they came in. Vasheronne was walking around with a tray of small little delicious cakes when Charlotte walked in, smiling at everyone. She was wearing a long blue frock that flowed like a spring of water, and her hair was tied up to the side with curls. Veronica smiled at her friend who was being escorted by Lord Payne who happened to be her cousin.
"Hello Beautiful," a voice came behind her, and she turned to see a man smiling down at her. He looked very handsome, to say the least. He was dressed in fancy clothes like the rest.
"Hello Sir... would you like something to eat?"
He looked at her, his eyes running up and down her body seductively before he licked his lips. Vasheronne felt like throwing up. That was the grossest thing she had ever seen a guy do. And was that supposed to turn her on?
"Are you going to eat something or do i have to keep moving?" she asked, wishing for someone, anyone, to come in and stop this.
"Can i have you?" he asked. Vasheronne turned, and rolling her eyes, walked away. She didn't get too far though, before she ran into Nina.
"Some rich psycho just talked to me."
"Who?" Nina asked, looking away from Peet.
"Him," Vasheronne pointed out with her lips at the guy who was still checking her out.
"Oh.. that's Baron Parker. Or his son. He's a flirt, he talks to any new girl he sees. Most times, he gets what he wants."
"Reputation preceeds the face, and name, huh?"
"Something like that."

Vasheronne got through to more people before noticing someone staring at her. She ignored him, because she knew that he was one of the many lookers.
"Hey Ronne!" Luke said quietly as he passed by her, putting his arms round her waist and going past as if he hadn't done a thing. She found herself looking after him as he went over to Charlotte and took her hand.
"Well, that was weird," she said to herself.

.
"Wait, are you sure?" Nina asked as Vasheronne spoke to her about a certain guy with pretty brown eyes staring at Nina.
"Its Lord Payne, innit?" she asked.
"No... it can't be. He has a fiancee."
"But he's still looking."
"Maybe that story of him having a fiancee is a fake..."
They turned back to the table and picked up their new trays. They had just re-filled them with delicious treats from the kitchen.
