When they got back from the garden, there were two limousines at the front of the driveway. The porters were unloading and there was a lot of luggage from them. It seemed like a whole village had come a-visiting.
"Who's here?"
"I am guessing, your parents, your aunt and niece and your brother..." before he finished, he had been tackled to the ground. Vasheronne screamed, running and tripping as she ran up the stairs of the palace and into the palace itself. She took the first staircase she saw and ran down the corridors to the next one before realising that she was completely and utterly lost.
She sunk to the ground and started crying.
It must have been a few minutes before Rajab found her. For her though, it felt like hours.
She missed Luke, and she missed Wardah. She missed all the familiarity that came with being a slave.
How could she be a Princess if all her life she had grown up a pauper and a slave?
Had her family even looked for her?
Would she fit in?
What was she going to do if she didn't fit in?
With all these questions in her head, and more, she found herself starting to cry. She was alone, and afraid.
"There you are!" his voice found her when his arms went round her shaking shoulders. "Don't worry, everything will be alright."
She let him take her in his arms. After all, he was the one who saved her from uncertain death.

Queen Charonne smiled as she looked at her long lost daughter. She cleaned up remarkably well She had seen her run up the stairs after Rajab got tackled.
She smiled at her husband, Prince Laban who came forward to hug his daughter. However, she stepped back, and she had an unreadable look on her face.
Rajab looked sadly at the couple who looked upset but they took it pretty well. She had told him how she felt, gradually opening up to him like he was Luke. She felt the need to and Rajab was the only one who she had to talk with this openly.
Her brother, a blonde guy who looked a lot like her father stepped up. His eyes made you feel like he could see deep into your soul. He stared at her before smiling. For some reason, the boyish look came alive and before she could step back he had already hugged her tightly.
This amused everyone. Vasheronne looked elsewhere as she blushed. He had really good reflexes, she had to give him that. He grinned at her, making her heart falter.
Jeez, he was her brother. He was really charming for one.
Aunt Jemimah then stepped up with her daughter, Naimah. Apparently, Queen Charonne's family had lost the ruling King, his wife and his son in a period of two years The cherry on the pie was Vasheronne's disappearance.
Princess Naimah was pretty informative. She knew the Rrandlovski Sign Language, she rode horses as well as Vasheronne probably did, she did embroidery, knitted and could sword fight. She promised to help teach her fencing when they went back.
Vasheronne smiled at this and dug into her food. Well, this was going pretty well.
At the back of her mind, she couldn't help feeling guilty for ignoring her parents. She met their eyes over the turkey and they smiled at her in understanding.
She promised herself she'd try and be nice. They seemed nice and they deserved the benefit of the doubt
