Luke dialed his sister's number. It was late, he knew, but he had to. Something was wrong.

She had known.

She had freaking known!

Why then did she not tell him?

He heard someone pick up the phone and he heard heavy breathing on the other end. "Put my sister on," he huffed.

"Why should i?" Harold spoke back angrily, "are you still tied to your mum's apron strings?"

"Dude..." Luke uttered a few colourful words, making Harold groan before he hurled a few of his own back.

"It is freaking important!" Luke yelled. His voice sounded foreign even to him. This was weird... he had many questions to ask.

"Luke... what do you want?" he heard his sister speak. She was such a heavy sleeper. He was surprised she had picked his call.

Though his stuck-up brother-in-law had technically answered it first. She heard him sigh.

"Charlotte? Again?"

"What do you mean by again?"

"Please stop calling me after reading her diary. Especially at night!"

"Did you know she was pregnant?"

"Everyone knew, the doctor told us, remember?"

"Who was the father?" he tested. He knew she was lying and he wanted to burst into laughter and make her look stupid.

"Duh, YOU!" she replied.

"Charlotte and I never had sex."

"She told me you did?!"

"We were waiting to break our virginity to each other on our wedding night."

"Yeah... she was not a virgin."

"Figured that out if she did not get impregnanted through immaculate conception."

"Yeah... i have to go. Goodnight Luke."

"Do you think she was cheating on me with Harold?" he voiced that to irritate his sister, and also to dig deeper.

"Who shoved these things into your head?" she asked with a laugh.

"I want to know who she cheated on me with."

"Siva."

"You're sure?"

"Yeah."

"It wasn't Malik?"

"No. Why would you even think it was him? He HATED her. But Siva and her... they were inseparable. She even tried poaching him off Tom."

She lied. She lied!

Unable to control himself, he muttered out loud, "you dare lie to me more than twice... why would you lie to me, why?!"

"Who is lying?" she asked with some humour. He could tell that she was smirking even without seeing her face.

"You are."

"How did you know?"

"I read her diary."

*&*&*&*&

Theodore sighed happily, watching the metallic bars being removed from her room's windows and balconies.

He knew what he had to do.

However, he didn't want to.

Luke stalked past him, grumbling. "I'll freaking kill him! He might be  my half brother, and i might not love her but... i will kill him!"

Theodore tried to look away, hiding behind his blonde hair and brown eyes. Luke stopped when he saw him. "Hey you! Didn't you throw me out yesterday?"

"Yes, I did," Theodore replied, watching Luke quietly. The two young men eyed each other for a few seconds.

"Do you work for Prince Rajab?"

"I work for the Queen Charonne and her daughter Princess Vasheronne."

"New?"

"Yes," he said just as he saw Veronica stalk past them with Hatrold in tow. He lowered his voice. "Those two are up to no good."

"Are they ever?" Luke scoffed. He eyed the other guy and turned to leave.

"How long will you be here?"

Luke turned to look at him. "We are not exactly buddies, so i can't divulge that to you."

Theodore nodded his head. "Ahoy cap'n!"

"Ahoy!" Luke walked away, stealing a glance or two at Theo. For some reason, he looked like someone he knew. He didn't know why he'd think that but he just did.

I have an audience with Vasheronne's parents and i am not going to miss it coz he looks like Malik.

Hurrying up the threshold, he made it into the castle and headed into the receiving room. A servant was immediately dispatched to go inform the Princess that Luke had come.
