He sighed, looking down at her limp frame. For once, he felt bad about killing someone.
He drew out a gun and was about to put a silencer when he heard someone passing by, cursing to himself. Siva crept out of the bush, curious to see who it was. His eyes widened at seeing his brother walking towards the big castle-like building that the Master and his family lived in.
He looked at Vasheronne and decided to stop Malik from doing whatever he was planning.

"Malik?" Charlotte called, turning to her side. She opened her eyes and there he was, staring at her.
"Malik!" she tried to sit up but he moved fast to hold her down. She struggled against him, making him curse. He pulled out a knife and her eyes widened as the blade gleamed in the darkness
"Shut up Charlotte!" he muttered, "or i will plunge this into you."
Out of the dark, Siva materialised. Her eyes widened and Malik, angry, suddenly began to threaten her.
"Zayn," Siva called gently,"stop it. I can't let you do this."
"Do what?" Malik asked, angry that his brother had referred to him by his first name.
"Kill her. I am going to kill Vasheronne."
"Wait... what?" Malik and Charlotte gasped before he launched at his brother, throwing a punch that he caught on his jaw. It sent him spinning to the side.
"Stop it you two!!!" Charlotte called, wishing someone could walk in and prevent them from hurting each other.
"You freaking stay away from her!" Malik yelled, hitting his brother harder than he had ever hit anyone.
"Stop fighting! Please!" Charlotte dragged him off Siva, feeling afraid for him. Malik held up Siva's gun, his eyes widening.
"Why do you have this with you?" he asked dumbly.
"To kill Vasheronne."
Malik pulled the safety catch. Charlotte came closer, looking scared.
"Please, take that thing out of here."
"Why can't you have me?" Malik asked, looking at the gun in his hand. Siva lay on the ground, feeling for any broken bones.
"Because i can't..."
"You and Lucas... you can't both have Charlotte," Siva cut in, clearing his throat.
"Why? Because i am a pathetic slave?"
"First, yes you are. Second, you and him are family."
Malik looked at his brother. "Say what?!"
Charlotte looked at Siva, wondering how he could even say that. She saw Malik point the gun at his brother then lower it slowly as an after-thought.
"When you were younger, mama told me that you were my responsibility. She also wanted me to tell your real father that you were his son. However, since you were the maid's son, and you were born due to an affair he couldn't admit to doing, the best he could do to help was to make you his foreman."
Malik's eyes widened, and he looked vulnerable for a moment. His eyes widened and he laughed.
"If i kill Luke, i have her sll to myself, right?"
"Yes, but you go to prison and you earn her resentment," Siva replied. He looked from his crazed looking brother to the red head.
"It's so hard," Malik muttered, looking at Charlotte with a sad smile. "Seeing you nearby in the arms of another man and being unable to do a thing. Feeling jealous of someone who is not even half what i am to you behind closed doors."
Charlotte merely looked away when he tried to touch her cheek. He gulped before speaking. "I will let you go, because i love you. if you come back to me, i will never let you go."
"Brother, it doesn't matter if your father is not my father. What matters most is that we love each other and we are family." Siva opened his hands wide for his baby brother.
Malik stared at his sobbing brother and made his way over to him and hugged him. He forgot all about the gun which he put on her dresser.
Charlotte crept to it, slowly taking it into her hands. She admired it for a little while then pointed it at the two men in her room.
"Get out of my room now," she said, making them both freeze and turn to look at her in uniform. They both looked scared. Malik approached her, taking small steps. Things were not going as planned, at all.
"Charlotte, put the gun down," Siva called quietly.
"Get the hell out. Both of you. Stay out and let me have my happy ending with Lucas. If i don't, then so HELP me God!"
Malik closed in and grabbed her hands. A struggle ensued as they both fought to have control on the weapon. Then there was a silent ping, and they both felt a warm sticky liquid on their hands. Charlotte let go of the weapon and took a step back, her eyes teary as she felt the wound on her abdomen soak up her negligee.
She looked over at the two brothers who were still frozen. That is when it happened. Malik ran forward and caught her before she fell to the rug. The wound was fatal, she was bleeding heavily and there was nothing Siva could do.
He watched his small brother rock her gently as he cried and whispered how sorry he was to have killed her. That he just wanted to scare her. That he was in love with her and he could not forget her, or live without her. Siva watched her go limp as the light faded out of her brown eyes. She shut them when she took her last painful breath of air.
Malik was besides himself in grief. He kept holding her even as Siva tore him away from the site of murder. Malik cried hard and Siva kept telling him that they had to go. If they got caught, they would be dead.
Malik followed him out, down out through the window, and across the lawn. Malik was mumbling things that didn't make sense till Siva heard him mention one name that had the ability to make him freeze.
"Vasheronne."

They got to the bushy little forest. She was gone.
"She has got to be here somewhere," Siva muttered, feeling his gun on his belt digging into his side. Malik looked beside himself again. His brother sighed and pushed the thought of his captive away.
He had to get him clean and to bed.
After all, his woman was dead because of his gun. His other woman was missing because of his carelessness
He hoped nothing had attacked her out there. He really did.
