The air smelt clean.

She felt clean.

Oh goodness, she did not tell Luke goodnight! She had to!

She tried to open her eyes but she felt too tired and sleepy to do it. Her heartbeat was fast and her lumgs felt like they couldn't accommodate any air.

Her body started to convulse and suddenly she knew she was going to die. She started to see her life flashing in her mind. She saw a lot of other things: Luke, Charlotte, Nina, Dora, Peter, Malik, Siva, Thomas, Sir Baron, Arana and Wardah.

She could hear people bustling in and there was a sudden electric shock hitting her chest. She blacked out completely.

She didn't hear them rejoicing when they brought her back. How could she? She was knocked out cold!

She could hear nothing but the buzzing of machines as they moved against the ground.

Looking around, she noticed she was overlooking a huge grass covered valley. The tanks kept rolling and destroying green grass, leaving crushed fibres and pulp on the ground.

Turning away from the disorienting sight, she spotted a handsome looking man making his way over to her. She saw him walk past her to a group of men nearby who were talking. The conversation appeared heated.

She could hear them talking in a language she couldn't really understand. There was only one word they spoke that she could understand: Princessa.

She walked towards them and tried to touch the handsome gentleman but her hands went through him. it was like she was a ghost.

She screwed her eyes together tightly to shut out the disturbing scene.

"You are not part of the dream," someone said, and she turned to look at whoever had spoken. She was gorgeous: blue eyes, golden-blonde hair and a curvy body any man would die just to hold in their hands.

"Huh?"

"You are watching what already happened here."

"Who are you? And what is this i am watching?"

"I am your nanny. you don't remember me because you were taken when you were young. My name is Rita. This is what happened after we both died."

"I... i died?"

"Well, i died, but you didn't. You ended up in the South. Hey, you see that gentleman? The one with the charming personality? His name is Santibanez. He died too."

"Why did he die? Did he get killed?"

"Yes, he was killed for protecting you. He killed an animal in your place. Remember the day you were taken from Arana?"

"Yes... it was the saddest day of my life."

"It saved your life. The troops had sent a spy who found you. Getting kidnapped then was fate's way of getting you away from them. They couldn't locate you until the party your new master threw. That man," she pointed to a tall man with dark hair and pale blue eyes, "found you."

Vasheronne turned. "Is there anything you can tell me about my future?"

"No sweetie, but i can watch over you."

Once again, she had a cardiac arrest. The medics revived her. Sudi was called back and he immediately administered some more medication via the drip. He said that she had been trying to wake up but her body was not ready.

"... i never knew i had a twin brother!" Vasheronne exclaimed, looking at him in a cot. Rita grinned and led her through another door. She could now see an older version of him.

"Isn't he handsome?"

"Am i allowed to say something like that about my brother?"

Rita giggled. "He is a fine young lad, he will make a great King some day."

Rita walked them through immaculate looking gardens and over to a tree whose branches went down to the ground to form more trees. Vasheronne got a strange feeling from it, almost as if it was a holy place.

"There's something about this place."

"Yes, there is. This is where you will meet the man you are to marry. He will come for you under this tree when yoy get back to the palace. This tree stands where your grandfather was to be buried. He adored this place."

"When can this happen?"

"Only when you get to defeat the rebels."

"Rebels? which rebels..." she started just as someone knocked her over and held a gun in hand, pointing at her. She screamed, and sat up.

Then she saw what Rita had said. Good Lord, how did this even happen?!

She pulled at the chains and pipes securing her, clearly disturbed by the thoughts of them watching her sleep. She could see lots of activity behind the glass partitionings.

Sudi ran in with a needle. She hit him while plunging the needle into him. He fell, and she struggled to loosen herself. suddenly, she noticed there were no people behind the glasses.

She felt warm hands on her and began to scream, making the man trying to loose her bonds hit her behind the head to knock her out. He got the tight binds off of her then threw her over his shoulder and made a run for it.
