I looked outside my window. Nothing was happening. The park I once loved was being demolished. Now no birds flew across, chirping. No kids playing on the swings. Nothing. Just the dirt piles and the construction workers working on new houses. I don't like watching them, but today is confusing. Everyone is vanishing. There were only three construction workers instead of fifthteen. And when I walk the streets, I only see mostly women. And if I do, the child and housewife are crying until they lose tears and only hiccup. I asked my parents who simply refused and said for me to never leave the house. I sighed and climbed the stairs lazily. Something was happening and I wanted to know. I went into my room and turned on my computer, writing on a story called 'Fire God'. Oh, and yes, I'm an Author. They call me the Mystery Author because I lied about my name and everything for the title and everyone knows it. Anyways. I sat there and wrote about my character. Well, this character is who is me, but if I had magic. She had black wings with Mirror magic and a Fireball magic. I smiled as a typed away at where she met the twins who fought her. Clank! Rawr! I jumped and looked at the covered bird cage. I sighed. I forgot all about Emeralzy. I uncovered it and saw a green dragon with blue wings clinging on the cage. "Hi Emeralzy." It's hard to believe I live in a world of magic as well. It's as if I'm apart of a fantasy story as well at the Kitty in Fire God. I unlocked it and Emeralzy jumped out and into my hands. She may be tiny, but she can become a human or a bigger dragon if she wanted. Oh and, well, I'm not only an Author, but a Dragon Tamer, which is very very VERY rare. I believe there's one in every country as if they are the guardians of the countries. She's immortal and, let's say we grew up together. I met her when she saw still an egg and I, a toddler. I honestly don't remember my age back then. She snugged deeper into my arms. I heard a door slam in my house and mother screaming. I gasped and placed Emeralzy on my desk, behind my computer. I didn't have enough time to hide her again if there's a robbery. I ran down the stairs to see my mother with tears in her eyes, kneeling on the ground. "Please..give my husband back.."
"Where's your son.. and please, don't resist, we need them."
"Like I said...I don't know!" He pointed a gun at her head. She started tearing up very fast, knowing she was unsuccessful of saving her son and husband.
"Leave mother alone!" I jumped down and bit his arm. He screamed in pain and dropped his gun. He growled at me and punched me in my stomach. I coughed up some saliva and dropped to the ground. I heard my mother scream as he pointed the gun at me. I sat up and stared at him. "Kill me, I dare you. Then you'll be losing your only chance."
"You know about the war, kid..?" I gave him a confused look..war...huh...so that's what's going on.
"War? No I was talking about something else but that works, too!" He growled at me, knowing that i tricked him to get information to stop the citizens from causing a riot. He sighed and lowered his gun.
"So then, tell me what you were talking about and maybe I'll tell you what the real war is." He looked at me and I could finally see what he looked like. Brown hair with a blue right eye and a green left eye. He even had a small scar on his right cheek. Oh man, was I gonna enjoy this!
"Nah..How can I trust my information that would force me inside this war I don't know about, to someone who threatens me and my mother. He sighed again and looked up at a light in the wall, deep in thought. After a few seconds, he turned back at me.
"I'll tell you the war if you promise to tell me your secret and if it's not being a County Guarding who tames dragons from birth to present, then I won't bring you to war. But I will take your dad and brother there." I sighed. The choices were real.. I could tell him the truth and kill myself possibly, or...they will bring father and my brother to their deaths.
"Mmmm...deal." I looked at him with eyes telling him, 'tell me first or forget about our deal.' He glared back at me and when he opened his mouth to speak, he choked on his words.
"It's...World....War....III...going on..r...right now. We need as many people as we can take." He looked back at me and I sighed. This war was bound to happen anyways.
"Well..it was bound to start. I guess it's my turn. I waited every day to tell everyone the secret."
"What secret. There's no secrets in the USA." I sighed.
"No, stupid," I rolled my eyes, "The secret about 'the never before seen' Dragon Tamer of the US." His eyes widened at the words.
"How could you possibly know that secret! The tamer is secretly hidden away, training her dragon every night in the skies! She was never ever seen in person so no one knows anything about her!" I sighed.
"Except that I'm a girl, I guess."
"'I'm'?!?! You can't be her! You're too young!" I rolled my eyes again.
"Young...I don't know if that's a compliment or a complaint..sigh..Besides, I don't use Emeralzy at night. I use her at day. I use LightingMoon at night. Or, call her L.M.. You people need to know your facts." He stared at me.
"Stop making lies."
"If I was lying, then why is everything going as I planned. Every..single..word." I smiled and turned around as he looked at me with his confused look again. Wait...I just remembered...Mother is still there. Why didn't she run..? I sighed and put my hands around my mouth. "Emeralzy! Come here!" I sighed and turned back to the boy who watched what happened behind me. A flash of blue and green came down the stairs and I looked over at my shoulder, signaling it was ok for her to jump on my shoulder. Emeralzy jumped on and digged her claws into the soft shoulder pad I wore on both shoulders, because, well...Emeralzy's claws were..sharp, way too sharp. I looked over to where my mother was laying. Wait...she's gone..So she did run away!
"Tiny dragon..you must of found it when it was injured so you are nursing it to health..like everyone else does." Does this guy REALLY not want it to be true..?
"If I'm lying, only Dragon Tamers can have their dragons turn into their human forms, correct?" He looked at me daring me to do that. I looked at Emeralzy and nodded my head. She jumped off my shoulder and a green mist and green fire appeared where she landed. I smiled through it all and when it cleared. There was a girl in a blue dress with green hair and tanned skin. She had a green eye and a blue eye, like the boy. The dress stopped at her knees at the front, but in the back, it kept on going, like a trail from a wedding dress. She had one golden earring, for her other ear was covered. Emeralzy glared at the boy who stared at her in shock. I smiled brighter. "Good work Emeralzy!" She turned to me. She looked like about my age, a teenager.
"Is this the boy who insulted Emeralzy's master?" All dragons spoke in third person for some unknown reason.
"M-Master?" Emeralzy turned back to him and growled.
"Don't address her as Master! Emeralzy is disappointed in the way you act! This is the famous Mystery Dragon Tamer of the USA! Give her more respect!" I sigh.
"That's enough Emeralzy. Apologize to him." Ermeralzy growled and backed up a few steps.
"Okay...? I'm sorry 'Emeralzy'. But, what's your name?"
"Kitty."
"Kitty?"
"Kitty. My real name is a secret!" I winked at him.
"Okay, well, 'Kitty'. I need an answer."
"To..??"
"Would you go to war and we will leave your family in safety for your honor of protecting your country like a loyal Dragon Tamer, or, skip out on it and your WHOLE family goes to war." He smiled at me and I sighed.
"Well, everything is bound to happen. I knew that it was very peaceful and that shall be broken some time. I'll go. But no promises I'll stay."
