"Well, everything is bound to happen. I knew that it was very peaceful and that shall be broken some time. I'll go. But no promises I'll stay."
"You'll stay."
"Fine, lemme grab my dragon. I nodded towards Emeralzy, who ran like lightning up the stairs.
"But you had a dragon..?" I laughed.
"You need to know your history. Dragon Tamers always have more than one. They all have their specialty. I have the Time Dragon Taming power. I have a Dawn Dragon, his name is Dew, which Emeralzy is getting right now. Then Emeralzy, who is the Sky Dragon. She stays by my side no matter what. And the final one, LightingMoon, the Night Dragon. You never see him because he leaves during day and returns by night for our practice. Since he's really strong and trustworthy, I let him go as long as, when I whistle, he returns."
"So that's your dragons?"
"Yup! They blend into their title! Literally!" I wasn't joking. They camouflage. Emeralzy jumped down the few stairs and gave me a brown pouch. The boy stared at it in confusion. Inside lay a little Hour Glass. A red and orange dragon lay on top. I knocked on the glass and it woke up. It ran into the glass and transformed, making a huge pile of sand, into a brown and orange boy. He wore a hat that he pulled over his eyes and had brown hair with green eyes, he even had a dusty jacket! He looked at me and then the boy. "Master, why did Dew get summoned?"
"Obviously, we're going to war because I'm the 'Guardian'."
"About time! It was bound to happen."
"Bound to happen!" I started to snicker and Dew lowered his hat over his face, trying to hide his. We..like to joke a lot.
"Stop goofing around! This is war we're talking about!" I sighed and looked at him.
"At least have fun, you may never laugh again after you experience what you find there." He sighed and nodded towards the military truck outside. We walked over there and I stopped.
"Can I fly there?"
"No."
"At least tell me your name..?"
"Tarleo. Get in with your dragons."
"Can I at least call Lighting-"
"GET IN!" I sighed.
"Fine fine, I'll call him when we get there." I sat down on the opposite side of the other military. The whole time they just stared at me, Emeralzy, and Dew. Dew was on my right side, sleeping, while Emeralzy sat there, staring back at the men. I sighed and closed my eyes, leaving onto Dew. I can sense that Emeralzy felt jealous.
Next thing I knew, I opened my eyes to noticed Tarleo shoving me, trying to wake me up. "Five...more..minutes." I froze in embarrassment. Even though I knew who he was, those words slipped out. He only just stared at me.
"Wake up, we're here and you need to get firearms." I smiled and sat up.
"Who needs firearms when you have dragons- Wait, where's my dragons?"
"Getting armour."
"Of course they are.." I sighed in disappointment and walked out, ignoring Tarleo. Tents were everywhere, signifying the camp. I went inside the firearm camp and grabbed a boy and a few arrows. Even though everyone uses guns, I feel more relaxing doing some old school archery. I wrapped the Quiver around my shoulders and latched the bow on a small hook on the Quiver. I then left the tent and somehow ended up in the armoury tent. Both dragons were covered in metal, looking at it in curiosity. Of course, they were in their huge dragon forms. "Welp, you guys look decked out. A little, too, much." I touched the metal on Emeralzy's neck and felt it. "Hmm.. Seems like it'll be hard to attack you.." I looked outside, and it was sunset. I looked over at Dew and nodded. "Go get Emeralzy and yourself some food, don't forget to practice your flight and attack, even your defense. Oh and, can you get some burnt fish for me? Don't forget the extra fish as well!" Dew nodded and ran outside, leaving behind the armoury person who was about to latch the armour on Dew. But now, the armour lay in the center of the camp, a scrap of metal. I started to snicker. Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around. The blacksmith held up some shoulder blades and I sighed.
Next thing I knew it, it was night, and I was wearing metal shoes, to latch onto my new metal dragon, Emeralzy, and I was wearing shoulder blades. I grabbed the strap on my chest and pulled it. It tightened my shoulder blades to the point I was forced to let it go. It's making my shoulders feel stiff with this weight. "Warriors! Gather!" I heard a familiar voice, only to realize it was Tarleo. A black haired boy, about my age, with blue eyes stood besides him. He looked familiar somehow, but where? And why did he remind me of my story, Fire God? I ignored the boy and looked at Tarleo, who turned to look at me. "Kitty, we are planning to attack, because night is the best cover for us, but can you be able to attack? We may need you." I sighed.
"Of course I can. All I need is a simple whistle and I'm off."
"Alrighty then, don't whistle until we start to attack," He looked at everyone else, "Is everyone ready?"
"Yes!" My ears hurt now. I looked at Emeralzy and walked towards her.
"Go get Dew and then, when you guys return, come find me. We have to escape this place." I knew it was gonna be ugly, so I had to make plans. Because Dew was late, he can't travel again, but if we were to attack, they will be busy trying to kill us instead of my dragons. And in case they try, dragons can always shrink. Emeralzy nodded and disappeared from sight.
