If someone stabs you in the side, you never let go.

I was lost. The forest was dark and covering. No matter where I went, I ended up going in circles. "Curse these woods." I looked through the trees. It was already dark. I would've used ShingingMoon, but he's not here. Then I saw the North Star. Bad memories came upon me but I shook them away. I won't show any emotion. The North Star tempted me to follow. But it may lead me to a village, where they will die too. But Tarleo and Erian aren't here to spoil my plans. So decided, I followed it. I was lost. So where was I gonna go?

As I followed the star, memories past to me. I remember being little and getting my hair stuck in branches as my brother helped me out. Why do I have these memories? I ran faster, ignoring the North Star. I remember running... in this direction. I broke free of the trees and peered down to what I looked at when I was little. I remember rolling down this hill. And there I saw, the city, where I call my home. I ignored the feeling of happiness and walked down the hill.

There it was. I was on the familiar driveway of my home. I peered inside the window to see my family hugging each other with a picture besides them. They must think I'm dead. No. They were told I was dead. But I still couldn't walk in. It will only cause sorrow. I looked up to the window I used to peer through. My window. I jumped into the tree next to the house and climbed onto the roof. I walked towards my window and opened it, letting myself in my room. Every memory I had was in this place. Everything was new and fresh. I couldn't stop the tears that fell down my eyes, but my face was still plain. I wiped the weak tears away and went onto my desk. A diary lay there. I opened it quietly. 'Today, me and my brother went to the trees. I got my lung hair stuck on branch. Ouchee!' I remember that day. I was very young I don't remember how old. I skipped a few pages and found a page that interested me. 'Today, I had a dream last night. A woman said I was a Dragen Tamir What is that? I woke up shaking and it scared me. I started crying so I went to mommie and cried in her little arms. She so nice I hope I don leave her.' I started to smile as I remember how bad my writing was. I kept reading. 'Today, I wanna be an author! My English teacher taught me how to spell and I'm very grateful. I can overcome great challenges! I asked my mom about the Dragon Tamer thing and she told me not to tell anyone! So I'm gonna have everyone call me Unknown! So when I do, I can save others. I'm not ready for war yet!' I kept reading. Flipping past the pages as fast as the flashbacks.

'Today, I went into the woods and found a dragon. She said her name was Emeralzy and she speaks in third person. I hope I'll understand her someday. But she named me her master. She won't stop following me.'

'Today, Emeralzy showed me her human form and told me to follow her. When I did, she said that's where her brother and crush live. Their names are Dew and ShingingMoon. They're strange. I want more dragons!'

'This is boring, I can't trust anyone anymore. How am I supposed to trust the person reading this? For your amusement? Well than I'll stop. Bye, forever, stupid diary.' I had some major attitude when I figured out I was back stabbed by my own friends. It didn't bother me now, but when I was younger, it bothered me. I heard the door open behind me and I dropped the book, turning around to see my mother standing there. I stared into her shocked gaze. She doesn't know who I am. Her daughter has long brown hair and two hazel eyes. I have short brown hair and one hazel eye. In her eyes, I'm stealing from her daughter who went to war. If I let go of my gaze on her, she'll attack me. And if I run for it, I may have a chance. I'll act as innocent as possible. "Good day ma'am, I wasn't intruding, I just, saw this room unlocked and came to check on it, bye!" That didn't sound innocent at all!! I turned to leave, when I heard a faint voice come from my mother and tears building up in her eyes.

"Kitty? Is that you? Your eye, it's injured come here."

"No! The Kitty you know is dead! I'm what's left of her so back away! I'm leaving now. I came to check if they hurt you because I escaped, but now that I know, I'm leaving. I didn't want you to see me." I walked towards the empty window, keeping my eye on her, to make sure she doesn't try to stop me. "I can't promise my own safety. Don't look for me and no promises on if I'll return. Ever." I stepped onto the windowsill and stared at her. She only watched this happen, not speaking a word. Her eyes begged me to stay and her mouth gaping to speak. I always knew, my brother was her favorite child and I was just his leftovers. And with that, I jumped out, onto the roof, and jumped down into the grass. I'm trained for this. I ran up the street, not looking back. My short hair trailed behind me. I forgot to take scissors to trim it. Oh well, this is war, no time to think about cutting hair.
