I stared up at the brown house with green shutters. I was back here again. I can't go to a hospital because by now, Erian must be recognized as a traitor around here. I looked through the window. Nobody in sight. I looked up and saw nothing but ash clouds again. I saw a few glittering stars. It's night. They're sleeping. I looked up at my window, leading into my room. By now, mother would've told the family I was acting different, but alive. I held Erian tighter and let go of one hand. I reached for the garage door and typed in the code

Beep.
The garage door opened and I headed inside, checking outside for no, 'imposters' I then closed the garage and sneaked my way inside the house, trying not to make a creak in the floor. "Afalia?" I jumped and, in front of me, was my mother. Her hands gripping paper and her eyes were red and puffy as if she woke up to find herself crying. Her hair looked like a rat's nest, as if not groomed for days.
"H-Hi again, mother.." Why did I stutter? She looked at the boy in my arms and gasped.
"Did you finally find love?"
"W-What? N-No! He's my friend, and h-he's injured and because ur a doctor..I thought maybe you could, you know, heal him?" I stuttered again. Mother reached over and put two fingers on his neck, feeling the weak pulse in his veins.
"Oh my! What happened to him, dear?" She startled back and gestured for me to set him on the table for her to have a better look.
"A..missile. We were coming here to hide from Tarleo and the other Germans, and when we were on that cliff, we heard a whistle and it was a missile. It landed right where he was, and it must've flung him quite far." I didn't mention any of my observations. I might not have mentioned, but, I had hiss his hair stuck on a tree, so I had observed that he was flung, hit a tree, and tumbled back down by the missile. "He had protected me that way, because he seemed like a spy for the Germans, but he just proved his loyalty to us Americans." She sighed.
"You kids need to learn to be more mature and careful! I've never seen symptoms like this...we need an oxygen tank to give to him. Afalia, call 911." She grabbed a phone from her pocket and threw it at me. I looked at it. It was my old phone. I must've dropped it when I was leaving for war, because it was cracked. I shook my head, ridding of the memories. Right. I have to save Erian. It should be safe now anyways. They must've not been informed or either the government doesn't want citizens to panic, because if not, my mother would've recognized him straight away and reject him into our household. I quickly dialed the number
>A=Afalia|9=911<
9: "Hello, this is 911, what's your emergency?"
A: "Um..My friend got hit by a missile..can you send help..? He's dying.."
"Right away, ma'am. What's your name and the patient's name?"
"Afalia. My friend's name is Erian. Can you..um..please hurry? Not to rush you or anything but he's barely breathing.."
"Right away. We're on our way."
>call end<
"Erm, I think they're on their way.."
"Alright. For now, he needs CPR before they arrive." I watched her pump his chest and breathed to his mouth. So that's CPR..
After a few minutes of watching Mother do CPR, the doorbell ring. That was quick. I opened the door, introduced myself and let them in. I watched them pack Erian up into the ambulance and hook him up to all these cords. I sat on the doorsteps with mother as we watched it drive away. "I'm so glad you decided to come home..you don't have to fight anymore."
"Your right. I don't have to. I want to. I have someone I want revenge on. So I'll be leaving once dawn breaks." I measured the stars to where it was a point in the sky where I had a few minutes left. Without waiting for my mother to answer, I walked inside, grabbed scissors and trimmed off the extra, long hair that was forgotten to be tied.
After a while of cutting my hair, I ran outside. Mother was gone. The break of dawn had happened past the ash clouds. That's when I remembered. "Emeralzy! Dew! LightingMoon!" I whistled. A roar was heard in the distance. I looked up to see a tiny Dew, Emeralzy, and LightingMoon land in front of me. They transformed into their human forms. "Thank you, miss, for rescuing us." Dew tipped his hat.
"What do you need mistress?" LightingMoon looked at me. Emeralzy looked around, scouting to see if anyone was around.
"I want LightingMoon and Emeralzy in my pouch now, Dew, you and I are gonna go and finish this war." Without any complaints, Emeralzy and LightingMoon transformed back into mini dragons and hoped into my side pouch. Then Dew transformed into his normal big dragon form and gestured me to climb on. I hopped on I felt a gaze follow me as I took off. Mother was watching me. Wishing for me to stay. Regretting she didn't kill the dragons when she first saw them. I ignored it and whispered to Dew to leave. He did as told and we took off, over the forest. I'll avenge Erian. I'll avenge all those people I chose not to save. I'll avenge the emotions I left behind that day. I'll finish this war and kill Tarleo.
